Virginia Mill Works Co.- 3/4" x 5" Seabrook Island Oak Prefinished Handscraped Solid Flooring- 30 Year Warranty

Colonial American homes were built with wooden floors that were sawn using basic hand-held tools. The hand-crafted workmanship that went into those floors can be found in Virginia Mill Works handscraped floors.

About Handscraped Flooring:
Handscraped or distressed hardwood floors have a natural worn appearance. They look like floors from the days when floors were finished by hand.
Please note this product is a nominal 3/4" thick, but due to its scraping process the thickness may be as thin as 5/8" in the scraped areas.

About White Oak:
Besides Red Oak, White Oak is another extremely popular flooring choice in American homes. The heartwood is a light brown color and some boards have a pinkish tint or a slight grayish cast. The sapwood is white to cream. White Oak's grain is open, with longer rays than Red Oak and occasional swirls and burls. This product is proudly finished in the USA.

We caught up with real Lumber Liquidators' customers who volunteered to discuss their floor shopping, buying and installation experiences. In no way did these customers receive compensation for their kind words. (They're speaking straight from the heart.)

Okay but not great

By Bill Jr

from Northeast

Verified Reviewer

Pros

  • Nice finish and color
  • White oak

Cons

  • Gaps from poor milling
  • High waste @ 10 - 15%
  • Some boxes contain mostly short pieces
  • Some scrapes
  • Some uneveness

Best Uses

Really it's not bad but it won't look like a high end and professionally finished floor. Waste was high if you cut or discard the pieces that were poorly milled. We also had major issues ordering a stair nose. The stair nose was ordered wrong and took over a month. Then we were also charged double what the website showed.
