Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Select American Cherry:
Its been a year since my wife and I installed our Bellawood American Cherry Floor in our Family room. We are still very pleased with our decision. Oh yeah, there is a scartch here and there, but they can be rubbed out or hidden. The warmth of the wood overcomes any small flaws. 7 young grandkids and a dog have not ruined it yet!
Forget carpet, spills clean up quick and easy, and a monthly light wax is enough to keep it looking rich and elegant. I enjoy the mornings and watching the fireplace reflect off the floor.
Now we have one of those Better Homes and Gardens looking Family Rooms! The Office will now get the same treatment this year!

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Select American Cherry:
beautiful out of the box but very prone to scratching. Looked great at first but not for our pet family. The many scratches are now 'character marks'. Avoid any high traffic areas and consider a more durable (harder on the janka scale) wood, or slower growth (denser) wood.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Select American Cherry:
I just completed laying 400 sq.ft. of select 5" select Bellawood American cherry on my winding staircase treads and office/library floor. I found the product and value to be excellent. The milling and finish on each board is faultless. The boxes contained a good mix of straight board lengths ranging from 12" to 82" with excellent color match and grain between boxes. The overall cull was less than 1%. The finished effect of the cherry flooring and connecting staircase with pecan-stained western hemlock skirt boards and risers is very natural and pleasing. The service from the local Lumber Liquidator store was professional and responsive. I would not hesitate to recommend Lumber Liquidators and Bellawood flooring to professionals and serious DIYers.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Select American Cherry:
The American Cherry is one of the most luxurious woods available. It is sought for its color and its grain pattern, and provides a rich warm appearacnce. Very High end wood, and although the species is soft, it is a great choice for a low traffic room with an elegant floor.

Q:
What does the Janka rating mean? A reference scale would be helpful. Thank you.1 answer
A:
The Janka Rating is the hardness of the material, all materials that have a Janka rating will also state how much harder or not than that specific species is compared to red oak on the SPECS tabQ:
How can I determine what, if any, of your flooring if FSC certified?1 answer
A:
Lumber Liquidators offers flooring brands that practice responsible harvesting. People that make their living in timber know the importance of sustaining healthy forests. Without a well-planned growth cycle, they simply are out of business. Tree cutting is monitored very carefully within a selective cutting and replanting strategy. At Lumber Liquidators, we believe hardwood flooring is a natural, healthy choice—for both you and the environment.Q:
Is this a good choice for high traffic areas, such as a kitchen? I noticed it is softer than oak.1 answer
