I had it installed for me, so i can't comment on install. I've had it for only a month but it looks and feels incredible. happy with the wood.

We have 3 dogs and accidents are not an issue when tended to promptly. Left alone too long can burn finishes as urine is a caustic. Vinyl click plank flooring or sheet vinyl may be best. We carry plank but not sheet vinyl.Q:
Is this a product that can be, "floated" over an existing wood floor?1 answer

This solid 3/4' product is designed to be nailed down but could be floated using our Elastilon underlayment product.Q:
Does this scratch easily?1 answer
A:
The Bellawood flooring has a very durable finish, but Birch is a soft species of wood. If you like this floor there is many ways you can help prevent scratches. Have a no shoe policy in your home. Shoes tend to have grit on the bottom, even mud and tiny rocks that can potentially cause scratches. Never slid objects across the floor and use felt protector tips under chair legs. Place mats at entrance ways; inside and outside the door to help catch grit and water. Use a dust mop often to clean up dust and grit. Trim pet nails. All wood flooring can potentially scratch. The best protection is preventive maintenance. |
