5 years ago installed in the living room and on the stairs. 2 years later, installed in the dining room, office, and on another set of stairs. Now, looking to install it in the bedrooms. Even my dog who runs all over couldn't damage the floor. The color will change to a deeper richer color. Avoid area rugs in sunny rooms. I removed the rug and now the floor looks uniform. This is a great product.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/8" x 3" Select Bolivian Rosewood:
As with an earlier reviewer, I had water damage in the kitchen caused by a dishwasher hose coming loose. I caught the spill within 20 minutes...but, the water seeped between the gaps in the boards and caused them to "cup" noticably. It is a gorgeous look, but keep it away from water. Also shows dust and dirt very easily because of the glossy finish. When clean, it is stunning!

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/8" x 3" Select Bolivian Rosewood:
We installed this product in 2008 in our newly renovated kitchen using nails and laying the floor vertically.
A few weeks ago my refrigerator water supply line tubing sprung a leak. Our contractor never put shoe molding behind our appliances; hence the leak ran down the wall and under our flooring unknown to us for about 6 hours...which made the damaged floor warp. We were able to order two boxes of the exact same flooring from lumber liquidators. We pulled up just the damage section which was 5 ft wide by 10 feet long down the middle of our kitchen and installed the new flooring having to use glue/not nails. It really looks great!!! A bit lighter in color but really not noticable since this flooring has such natural color variations in it. I am so glad I went with lumber liquidators for my flooring because I'm not sure if I went elsewhere the same flooring would be available; and then I might have had to replace the whole kitchen floor. I do believe if the leak aimed the water on top of the flooring instead of underneath it the flooring would have never warped. I blame this on our contractor not our the quality of the flooring.
We would definetly buy this product again from lumber liquidators.

We were going to put in oak floors in our living room and dining room but when we saw how beautiful the rosewood is we changed our minds immediately and decided to put it in our family room too. We just finished the family room--it only took us one full day. Wow what a difference from our old wall to wall carpeting. We should have done it a long time ago.

I installed the floors in my family room, dining room, and my living room. I love the color of the would and the finish. It is gorgeous!!!!! I love it!!!! I have never installed wood floors, and I have not had much experience with home projects. It was a bit challenging to glue down over 1000 sq. ft. of floors., but you cannot beat the quality of the solid wood floor in comparison to an engineered floor,or a laminate.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/8" x 3" Select Bolivian Rosewood:
We had our Bellawood floors professionally installed. The install techs were impressed with the finish and durability, and commented on the hardness of the wood. The finish is absolutely gorgeous. So far we have no complaints about the durability. Despite the fact that my two dogs treat the floor like their personal test track, I still haven't noticed any scratches. I couldn't even find a mark when I dropped a pair of heavy clippers on the floor.

How susceptible is this type of flooring to discoloration by sunlight? Would UV blocking coating on windows stop this?1 answer
