Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Brazilian Cherry:
This flooring look beautiful in just about anywhere. A couple of the boards were damaged when I opened the box but I was able to work around it and it was fine, just check their policies on damaged boards. Overall great flooring though.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Brazilian Cherry:
Outstanding product, Very pleased with the quality of the flooring. Almost no warping or blemished boards. I will install more of this product (Brazilian Cherry) in my home. You can't go wrong with Bellawood. I would have rated this 5 stars but it took more than 3 weeks to order in 2-2"x12" floor vents.
Service and delivery comments:
J.J. at the Frederick Maryland store was outstanding to work with. Very customer oriented, friendly and knew his product and installation techniques inside and out. I look for J.J. when I go into this store. I think he is a class act.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Brazilian Cherry:
The floor looks great. The store suggestd the 3 1/4" boards so the color variations wouldn't stand out as much on a large area, and we're glad we made that choice.
The recommended installer did all the work in only one day, for over 800 sq ft of floor.

the wood floor is so beautiful. Our living room and family room now have that WOW factor!
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery by store too slow and expensive, we elected to get a Uhaul and haul the wood ourselves. Area for improvement.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Brazilian Cherry:
My floors turned out beautiful and the Brazilian cherry darkened to the look I was seeking. My dad is a general contractor and typically installs oak flooring. He had a tough time with the hardness of the wood during installation as nails would not go in far enough. He was visiting me when he installed so was borrowing equipment...if you're a do it yourselfer, make sure you've got an air compressor with high psi and a big hammer for nail gun.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Brazilian Cherry:
Great looking product. It does scratch easier than I thought (it being one of the stronger woods with multiple layers of lacquer). However, getting a runner for the area with the highest traffic so that should solve most of the scratch issues. House looks so much better!

Q:
I'm Looking to find a wood filler for the nail holes, Can't seem to find a match any suggestions?1 answer
A:
Wax filler sticks, stain markers and color-putty are now available at your local Lumber Liquidators used for minor hardwood repairs. This process is used to fill-in face-nails, nicks and gouges. Select the appropriate stick color to match the damaged area. Often several colors are used to blend colors for exotic species bring a scrap piece of the flooring to match it up. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
I have concrete sub floor and am thinking about getting barzilian cherry hardwood flooring for my house. We live in a desert in nv. Is this a good choice. I also what to know if i can have this flooring in my kitchen.1 answer
A:
Please contact me directly and I would be glad to answer any of your installation questions.Q:
What is the hardness of the Brazilian Cherry verse other hardwood?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Brazilian Cherry is 123% Harder than Red Oak. Cleat nailers rather than staplers are recommended as they have an easier time penetrating the harder exotics. Better chance for 3/4" may be a POWERNAIL nailer. 18 gage cleats w/model 50P and a 3/4" adapter plate can work best on very hard exotics. Or equivalent nailer like our Norge 18ga. Cleat Nailer.Q:
I have just received the shipment at home, but the color of my boxes looks so different from the sample in store. The woods almost look yellowish, and not like the sample at all. Should I be worried?1 answer
A:
This new Brazilian Cherry flooring has not seen any light yet and the color (patina) will deepen drastically with age,Q:
how long are the boards?1 answer
A:
Select Grade:Q:
Should the floor be sealed with an additional coat of polyurethane to prevent moisture from spills from seeping into the cracks and possibly damaging the subfloor?1 answer
A:
You could reseal prefinished flooring after it is installed, but this would void the finish warranty on the flooring and create extra expense for you after already buying a new floor with a 100yr finish warranty. Adding a new finish won’t prevent all moisture from going into the seams. Wood will expand and contract with climate changes. If the flooring were to contract later and create seasonal gapping, a spill can cause water to get into the gaps. It is best to only add a new finish when the old finish starts to wear more than you like or if you have a lot of scratches you want covered up. We recommend that you use a professional sand and finish expert if you did decide to add a new finish to the flooring. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
I would like to instal 3/4 x 3 Bella Brazilian cherry b/4 my kitchen and dining room cabinets go in. Is there any reason it cannot go under them?1 answer
A:
We do not recommend installing flooring under permanent or fixed cabinetry as it prevents proper expansion and contraction.Q:
We are considering Bellawood solid wood Brazilian Cherry and Bellawood Engineered Brazilian Cherry. Is one more durable than the other? I know the engineered is more forgiving to humidity changes but other than that any other considerations?1 answer
A:
I would have to say the 3/4" solid product will be more durable (as far as resitant to denting) than the engineered as it is all Brazilian Cherry versus a 3.5mm veneer over a plywood base.Q:
What are the names of reputable installers in the lowcountry area (Beaufort, SC)1 answer
A:
You can contact our nationwide Installation Department at 877-477-1116 and they will be happy to discuss this with you, your local store will have that information as wellQ:
Why is there so much variety (variability) in the color of the Brazillian Cherry hardwood as opposed to other hardwood floors?1 answer
A:
This is a natural material finished with clear coat, the other materails you may be looking at might come from our stained line which will have a more consistent color
