Brazilian Cherry is one of our most popular woods and well known for its rich color, hardness, and durability.
It is an excellent choice for both residential and commercial use. As the color deepens with age it becomes even more stunning making it the perfect choice for any space.  Brazilian Cherry may show a myriad of hues from golden brown to reddish brown.
As the floor ages, white mineral deposits may occur.
Please note Brazilian Cherry must not be installed with radiant heating systems.

  • Q:

      A:

Yes it can. This product has a 3mm wear layer. Full refinishing will take slightly under a 1/32” off the veneer of the wood flooring. The thickness of the veneer and how much wear and dents a floor has will determine how many times it can be refinished. Solid hardwood that is ¾” thick may be refinished 4 to 7 or more times depending on how much wood was taken off on each refinishing. Engineered flooring with a 1/8” wear layer or more will be able to be refinished at least once. We recommend that hardwood floor refinishing be done by a professional and if your not sure if you can refinish your flooring have professional sand and finish expert come to your home and evaluate your flooring. Thank you for your inquiry.

What type of finish is on this floor?

      A:

Our Bellawood floors are factory pre-finished with an aluminum oxide water-base urethane using a multi-step application process. (8) coats are applied to most domestic and exotic wood species and each coat is hard-cured using Ultraviolet (UV) light. Bellawood pre-finished flooring offers superior wear resistance and is backed by a limited 100-year warranty! (The exact formula is propietary information) The formula for the Bellawood finish is a custom mix that has a 50/50 gloss. The sheen you get is shinier than satin, but not as shiny as semi -gloss.
The average dry film thickness for Bellawood is about 3.65 mils – one of the highest in the industry.
Maintaining the appearance of any wood floor requires close attention to in-door climate controls during seasonal changes.
