Q:What is the range of board lengths and the average length per board for this product?
A:Select Grade has the most uniform color with no large knots and the longest average lenght of planks. Also referred to as First Grade. Our Select products will have random length boards generally between 12” and 84” with the average length being around 36".
Q:can this product be purchased unfinished?
A:We have R.L. Colston 3/4" x 5" Unfinished Brazilian Cherry
Q:What is recommended for installing this specific floor, 15.5 gauge staples or 16 gauge cleated nails? I live in NJ where humidity varies.
A:i would recommend an 18 gauge cleat nailer for this exotic species.
Q:what is the finish on this flooring? high gloss, glossy, matte?
A:Our Bellawood floors are factory pre-finished with an aluminum oxide water-base urethane using a multi-step application process. (8) coats are applied to most domestic and exotic wood species and each coat is hard-cured using Ultraviolet (UV) light. Bellawood pre-finished flooring offers superior wear resistance and is backed by a limited 100-year warranty! (The exact formula is propietary information) The formula for the Bellawood finish is a custom mix that has a 50/50 gloss. The sheen you get is shinier than satin, but not as shiny as semi -gloss.
