We installed this in our kitchen 3 years ago. Although it's a beautiful floor it became obvious that it wasn't well-suited for a high traffic area. Beware dropping ANYTHING on this floor as it will show. Friends and family say it's "character", howevever it's still wear/tear which we'll have to live with...now looking at replacing wood floor in another part of the house however I can't imagine using this again and now faced with what to do so that I don't have multiple types of wood flooring in our house.

Installed this in high traffic great room. Looks beautiful, thinness butts against tile very easily. Showed wear pattern from feet, dogs, ottoman (with special wheels even)almost immediately. Not sure if it is finish or wood hardness issue. Would use again in light traffic area. Would probably order thicker, wider boards however for faster easier install.

This floor is beautiful when intially laid, but once any traffic starts, so do the dents and scratches. It is bellawood and comes with a 50 year warranty, but it is looking very damaged 9 months after installation. I am very unhappy with this product and most likely will have to replace it. This was a huge loss as we purchased 1700 sq ft. We were told that this was a great quality flooring by the local LL.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 5/16" x 2-1/4" Select Brazilian Mesquite:
While this floor looks beautiful in the showroom and once it is installed, it is not durable at all! Beware of cell phones and remote controls because if you drop them, that's all it takes to dent this floor. And I'm talking a drop from 2 feet high! We made the big mistake of buying for looks. And while it looks nice, you will walk around on eggshells trying not to damage the floor. The first day it was installed, we moved the refrigerator back in to place - keep in mind that the fridge was also placed on cardboard and it had wheels - sounds safe right? Well it left a huge gouge the entire length that it was moved. We have to take the blame for this for not doing our research on hardwoods and buying for looks. If I could do it all over again, I would buy a "already worn-in" looking floor that is made of a much more durable wood. Then a few dents would only add to it's character!

I installed this in a bedroom over a weekend using a Bostitch LHF-97125 air stapler. It worked great, with only a few misfires initially while I got the hang of it. The depth of the finish and variety of colors and grain patterns in this Mesquite is awesome. Every board is different, so it’s a good idea to have a helper laying them out ahead of you to keep things mixed up.
I have only one point of caution. At 5/16" this flooring is pretty flexible, meaning that it will not smooth out or hide imperfections in the subfloor (e.g., bad plywood joints, uneven surface transitions). If you have this situation, I would consider using the 3/4" flooring or putting down an additional layer of flat subfloor.

It is beautiful flooring it is very durable with dogs. The only problem is it shows hair very easily, so you have to sweep the floor alot. I love the floors very nice to walk on in the mornings.

I almost didn't buy because the price for 3 inch was a bit too expensive. The salesman did not offer any options. There was a 2-1/4 inch available in the same product that was a better price and he didn't show it to me. My husband found it when he went back to look at it. But I am very happy with what I got because it varies in color and blends with any furniture that I already have. It is beautiful and I will buy more from your company because I shopped around and found the best product and value with you. And I have already recommended to a couple of friends.
