Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Select Golden Teak:
The wood is absolutely stunning in appearance. Fortunately, I only had a little over 200 square feet to install. I spent many hours (three days) just installing the first 100 square feet. The wood varied from 4 7/8" to a little over 5". The variation wasn't consistent although I was able to end op with about six width categories. Gaps still existed but were quite small. The tongues as well as the grooves also varied. Took me almost an hour to find two boards that would accept a much modified spline...spline sanded all sides. Would never buy this product again.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Select Golden Teak:
The professional installer had to cull through the boards to get ones that were straight, taking longer to install than necessary. Used the glue purchased from LL but several boards on concrete floor popping. Nose boards on stairway do not match the flooring. I had to gather materiel from 2 different stores myself. If issues resolved i would recommend Otherwise OK

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Select Golden Teak:
We installed 900 sq feet of this product after we installed the Chestnut upstairs which was very user friendly. This product is not user friendly in the sense that we found a lot of milling issues. That one piece that was either too wide or not wide enough threw off the entire next row and we had to rip out many many rows.
In addition, the damage to a lot of the product was insulting and aggravating to find a great board that was unusable in addition we ended up with so many pieces of wood so dark and heavy it was definitely the Brazilian teak ( a product we considered) and not golden teak, as if they dropped them in the box to complete the box and get it out.
I would say we ended up with almost 2 boxes of waste in all.
Other than the complaining above the floor is gorgeous!!!!!! We get rave reviews from all who see it and knowing what I know I would buy it again.

we used bellawood golden teak 3/4 x 5 in 3 of our bedrooms, hallway, living room and dining room, and we love how it looks in all the rooms. although i noticed that bellawood has too many small pieces in one box, we ended up with a lot of small pieces leftovers

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Select Golden Teak:
We used over 3000 sq foot of it to do all the floor on 2nd floor. We have it in our little boy room and his sister room too! It looks great we installed on a angle which gave alot of cuts. Would not reccomend that. It was hard when we had to start cutting and the wood being so hard it would eat up the big blades quick.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Select Golden Teak:
Replaced 700sqft of carpeting in our 3rd floor TH master bedroom, hallway, and two guest rooms. The pics on LL.com don't do Golden Teak's appearance justice at all. Overall, it looks even better than we expected and we're very pleased. Some of the reviewers shots helped assure that this wood was what we were looking for though. Variations in the grain are very nice. Chose this while looking for something similar to red/white oak that wouldn't change colors drastically over time, like a Cherry, and with a softer grain than oak. Several boards had imperfect cuts, reversed tongue/groove (how is that possible?) [...]. Install was fairly easy with oversight from our brother in law who is an experienced handyman himself. The hardest part was cutting angles for the hallway, under the door jams, and splitting the final rows in each room to meet the end wall. Quarter round should hide the few install imperfections. Everything else was fairly a breeze. We were a little concerned about the installation process beforehand based on some of the reviews we read on the LL site and elsewhere. My wife did a good portion of nailing and cutting herself, she could probably do an install on her own at this point. Pneumatic nail gun was used.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Select Golden Teak:
I am very pleased with the product, however as stated earlier the threshold overlap is to short and I had a very hard time making them work in my greatroom. I had to install 3/4 base to my slab before installing the hardwood and once reaching the doorway and other openings I was 1 1/2" above my other flooring and had I not had a table saw to rip the boards to fit I would have really been in a mess. I just wish I had been informed about the product when I purchased it. Maybe it is partly my fault, not knowing enough about the instulation of hardwood to know what questions to ask, but I can assure you one thing, if I ever install another flooring I will certainly know what questions to ask. Can solid wood flooring be installed on a concrete slab? If it can, how is it installed?1 answer
A:
This is a solid 3/4" product designed to be nailed to a wood substrate.Q:
No need to glue the ends on a nail down install correct?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Some installers recommend PVA Wood gluing tongue and groove ends only for 4" or wider boards. I've done it myself without issue to help prevent cupping. It is not necessary however. Proper acclimation, temperature and humidity, and subfloor and flooring moisture levels are most important. Follow manufacturer instructions carefully - http://www.lumberliquidators.com/ll/c/Select-Golden-Teak-BELLAWOOD-HUSGT5SV/10008173?productId=6877Q:

How long should we let the wood acclimate in our house before installation?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
All wood products are affected by environmental conditions especially prefinished materials. Acclimate the new flooring in the areas to be installed to normal lived-in conditions while in the boxes. If products are protected in plastic, only open the ends of the boxes. To prevent board warping, twisting or bowing, only cut the outside plastic support packaged bindings when ready to install. Length of acclimation time is not the determining factor. The goal is to reach an indoor equilibrium or environmental balance between the “core” of the new flooring with its surroundings before installation. This balance could be achieved in as little as 1 to 5 days, or longer for some exotic species (Golden Teak about 5-10 days). For best performance, condition the flooring to consistent indoor temperatures of 60°-80° F and indoor humidity levels of 30% - 50%. Very dry or humid regions of the country usually require extended conditioning. Recommended acclimation levels maintained even after the installation will help to minimize board movement, excessive squeaks and gaps. Proper jobsite conditions, acclimation and moisture testing the subfloor and new flooring and all work together for the success of the installation.Q:
How is this harvested......where is it from exactly?1 answer
A:
Lumber Liquidators offers flooring brands that practice responsible harvesting. People that make their living in timber know the importance of sustaining healthy forests. Without a well-planned growth cycle, they simply are out of business. Tree cutting is monitored very carefully within a selective cutting and replanting strategy. At Lumber Liquidators, we believe hardwood flooring is a natural, healthy choice—for both you and the environment.Q:
