Bellawood - An Industry Leader in Durability and Design. Everything we do is about making a better floor. From selecting the most durable wood and bamboo the world has to offer, to our patented finishing process that gives our flooring best-in-class stain, gloss and scuff resistance. This means a Bellawood floor is 2X more scratch resistant and 4X more abrasion resistant than other brands. Plus, it is backed by a transferable 100 year warranty. When you choose Bellawood, you choose a lifetime of exceptional beauty and quality for your home.

Exceptionally beautiful, and strong. Maple is ideally suited for dining rooms, kids rooms and other areas where fine living meets the demands of everyday life. Maple can often be found in dance studios and basketball courts. If it can stand up to performances like these, just image how well it will perform in your home. Its warm color ranges from creamy pale white to a light reddish brown. Individual boards may have additional character such as mineral streaks and burls unique to maple. This product is proudly finished in the USA.

We caught up with real Lumber Liquidators' customers who volunteered to discuss their floor shopping, buying and installation experiences. In no way did these customers receive compensation for their kind words. (They're speaking straight from the heart.)

  • Q:

I am looking to save by getting the 3/8 thickness, but was afraid it could never be refinished. Can you still sand and refinish the 3/8 thickness wood floor?
Asked on 8/14/2015 by Paul from Ann Arbor MI

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

Full refinishing will take slightly under a 1/32" off the surface of Solid hardwood.
Low profile solid wood flooring like 3/8" thick flooring may be able to be refinished two, maybe three times if the flooring is in good shape. We recommend that hardwood floor refinishing be done by a professional and if you're not sure if you can refinish your flooring have professional sand and finish expert come to your home and evaluate your flooring. Thank you for your inquiry.

Can this floor be installed over Elastilon Underlayment?
Asked on 5/8/2015 by Khanh Nguyen from NJ

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

      Per Elastilon instructions:
Working with thinner boards – Although these instructions are common to the installation of Elastilon with all hardwood floors, particular attention must be given to the following when installing thinner boards. ie, ½"(12.5mm), 3/8"(10mm) and 5/16"(8mm)
      • All end joints must be glued throughout the installation.
      • The floor must be flat to within .08 inch over 8 ft (2mm over 2.5m)
      • Expansion room must be maintained around all walls and obstacles.
      • Transition moldings need to be placed at all doorways and hall entrances and areas greater than 30ft in width or length.
      • Each board should be carefully inspected prior to the installation. Boards should be straight and flat without bowing, warping or cupping prior to the installation.
The Elastilon Underlayment Installation System allows the floating application of solid wood flooring over wood and concrete substrates. Not intended for below-grade applications. To maintain your warranty follow closely the Elastilon installation guidelines found on the Lumber Liquidators website.
You can find complete Elastilon installation instructions on the web site through the Flooring 101 web pages for easy installation, Type in - ELASTILON Instructions (pdf) -. Thank you for writing in.

  • Q:

is this flooring good for an entire home? Is humidity a factor for long term ...live in the humid southeast of country :)
Asked on 1/29/2015 by bill from north carolina

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

      Yes.
All of our flooring products are recommended for interior use only and designed to be installed in a climate controlled environment.
Being a natural product it will be subject to the effects of temperature and humidity. If proper heat and humidity levels are not maintained your flooring may shift, shrink, expand, gap or buckle.
Acclimation plus moisture testing (stated in our installation instructions) at the site is the only way to ensure the product is ready to be installed. After the floor is installed, the temperature and humidity should be held consistent to ensure the product does not develop any types of issues.
You can find complete installation instructions on the product page by clicking on the installation tab and then clicking on - Installation Guide.
