BELLAWOOD 3/8" x 3" Select Red Oak Prefinished Solid Hardwood Flooring

What makes Bellawood so Unique? We carefully hand select each species from regions across the globe that are known to produce denser woods and that exemplify the species' finest qualities. That's why we say, "It's more than hardwood. It's Bellawood."

Red Oak is America's most popular choice for wood floors and serves as the industry benchmark when rating hardness among species. It features a reddish tan color and has a distinctive glow that creates an inviting atmosphere in rooms near and far. Better yet, changes due to sunlight exposure are minimal with Red Oak, ensuring a bright and beautiful floor for years to come.
This product is proudly finished in the USA.

Just Install and Enjoy. Each Bellawood floor comes with our exclusive 100 year, UV-cured micro-particle finish already applied. That way you save time and avoid the mess of sanding and finishing after installation. So just install, sit back, relax and enjoy. You've got a Bellawood floor.

We caught up with real Lumber Liquidators' customers who volunteered to discuss their floor shopping, buying and installation experiences. In no way did these customers receive compensation for their kind words. (They're speaking straight from the heart.)

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/8" x 3" Select Red Oak:

The installer that we had said that this was the first time that he has worked with a 3/8 solid oak product.
There are a few imperfections with the seams. Fortunately not too noticable. This was installed in our kitchen over the existing vinyl flooring. We have had many comments on this floor.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/8" x 3" Select Red Oak:

After doing some fairly exhaustive research, we decided on a real wood floor. It didn't take long to realize that it would require a professional installation. That said, if you get someone who is experienced and thorough, the results are outstanding. Even with the Select Red Oak, there are slight imperfections and some minor warping which made our installer (a perfectionist!) go slower than he had expected. And don't expect the snap together consistency of manufactured floors, this is the real deal. There will be some minor gaps here and there, but nothing objectionable if your installer does a good job. This was the look we wanted and we couldn't be more pleased.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/8" x 3" Select Red Oak:

I had this product installed by contractor and found that there were gaps due to the product being uneven width. It was not milled well and this was not due to warping as end to end pieces would be different width by about 1-2/16" which is noticeable. Also the color variation was more than I expected for a select top grade oak.

Bellawood is the way to go, you can't beat the warranty. Strongly recommend that you hire a professional. Also strongly recommend using a sealer over concrete, moisture will damage the hardwoord. Love the way the floors turned out.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/8" x 3" Select Red Oak:

Fantastic looking but a few places warped and is not a smooth finish. I glued this to a concrete subfloor. I let flooring sit in the house for 2 weeks before beginning to acclimate to the humidity in the house in hopes to avoid warping. I also suggest renting a heavy roller and use it as you install the flooring. Also, be SURE to use coasters on heavy furniture. The floor will scratch.

To minimize waste and scrap, I opened and used one box at a time. I separated lengths into stacks, and laid out each row before glueing. This gave a nice pattern distribution, and color distribution

I'm looking at this for installation in our great room. The sub-floor is wood and the room is 16' x 34'. The floor of the room suggests the boards run parallel to the 34' wall. I've been told that thresholds are required for runs over 30'. I've also been told that gun should be used for long runs as it accommodates expansion. I'm old-school and prefer nailing with no thresholds. What's the preferred installation method for this configuration?

              • Q:

Considering this for our new home for the bedrooms & hallways, wondering if this is more durable than bamboo- we have a toddler & an inside dog, so I'm worried about excessive scratches/dents. At the same time, I don't want the floors so hard it cracks his head when he falls! would a cork underlay work to soften it? The main living room is already hardwood, but I'm not sure what kind. thanks!

                  A:

Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.
Cushions are not recommended under "low profile" nail down products.

I have a two story home, upstairs is a plywood floor, concrete board with tile layed over it. Can I glue this product over that?
