Morning Star Bamboo Flooring is one of the best bamboo floors on the market today. It is produced from old growth bamboo reeds that are at least 4 years old, thereby increasing hardness. Morning Star Bamboo Flooring creates a naturally beautiful and ecologically friendly product that evokes a feeling of luxury. Quick Highlights: Carbonized Strand To make strand bamboo, shredded bamboo fibers are compressed under extreme heat and pressure. This manufacturing process yields flooring that is even harder and more dense than traditional bamboo floors. Available in a variety of colors to complement and décor, all Morning Star strand bamboo products are finished with premium coating and backed by a 30 year warranty. And, since bamboo is a naturally sustainable grass that re-grows spontaneously after harvest, you can feel good about making an environmentally friendly flooring decision.

Very beautiful. My room is trimmed in oak and the color and finish of the bamboo blend with the oak very well. My contractor said this was one of the best woods he had worked with. It looks so beautiful he took pictures for his portfolio.

Comments about Morning Star 5/8" x 3-3/4" Strand Carbonized Bamboo:
The flooring is very hard making it great for resisting scratches but also making it trickier to install. You have use a nailer with nails not staples and you have to make sure they are stiff nails or they just curl up when you try to drive them in.

Comments about Morning Star 5/8" x 3-3/4" Strand Carbonized Bamboo:
Love the look of this flooring, we bought from Lumber Liquidators and had their installers do the work. We went for the glue down option so professional installation was a great idea, also we had tiles to take up.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was prompt.
We were missing some items and they took longer than expected so the job was delayed. Also when we went to pick them up (a 40 mile each way trip) The wrong pieces were given so we had to make a second trip - very frustrating!!

Comments about Morning Star 5/8" x 3-3/4" Strand Carbonized Bamboo:
I just had this flooring installed in my DR by professional installetrs this past weekend after getting rid of old carpetting. The floor is beautiful so far. The installers used 18 gauge cleats/staples to install and didn't have any issues with splintering or difficulty making cuts on a table saw.I love the look of the flooring and hope that it will withstand everyday traffic. I did glue heavy duty felt pads on the bottom of all furniture to prevent scratching.

What is best to use on this floor after it is a couple of yrs old to get the build up of cleaners off the floor?1 answer
A:
We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.
