Morning Star Bamboo Flooring is one of the best bamboo floors on the market today. It is produced from old growth bamboo reeds that are at least 4 years old, thereby increasing hardness. Morning Star Bamboo Flooring creates a naturally beautiful and ecologically friendly product that evokes a feeling of luxury. Quick Highlights: Natural Strand To make strand bamboo, shredded bamboo fibers are compressed under extreme heat and pressure. This manufacturing process yields flooring that is even harder and more dense than traditional bamboo floors. Available in a variety of colors to complement and décor, all Morning Star strand bamboo products are finished with premium coating and backed by a 30 year warranty. And, since bamboo is a naturally sustainable grass that re-grows spontaneously after harvest, you can feel good about making an environmentally friendly flooring decision.

We picked up the flooring from the store and used an installer after ripping up and replacing the sub-flooring, since they knew the product. Boy am I glad we did. they were in and out in 2 hours, doing an excellent job!

Comments about Morning Star 5/8" x 3-3/4" Strand Natural Bamboo:
Bought over 800 sq ft and it was easily loaded as it was 2 boxes short of a full pallet. This floor is throughout the house with the exception of the bedrooms and bathrooms, it looks great.

Comments about Morning Star 5/8" x 3-3/4" Strand Natural Bamboo:
Wide fluctuation of shades of color hard to mix in shades. Finish is poor thought maybe it was seconds but was told not. Disappointed in the way it looks for the amount I paid for product and installation of 1200 sq ft.

We used this flooring to fill in after we tore down existing walls. We were beginners and took our time taking out partial old boards and adding the new and it was much easier than we expected.

Comments about Morning Star 5/8" x 3-3/4" Strand Natural Bamboo:
I knew nothing about the difference between the flooring, so one day before closing on my new home, I stopped in the Santa Ana location, and the guys in there took all the time in the world to explain the difference between the flooring and which one would work for my home and they were so RIGHT! The day before I was to move in the flooring was just complete there was a water leak and the water came through the ceiling on to my new floor! The restoration company even said this flooring is amazing and did NOT HAVE ANY DAMAGE!! THANKS TO THE STAFF AT THE SANTA ANA LOCATION!!

is it water proof1 answer
A:
No it is not.Q:
Will Strand Natural Bamboo hold up in a very active office with office chairs with wheels1 answer
A:
Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.Q:
Can you use a Shark steam cleaner on bamboo?1 answer
A:
We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.Q:
Can this be used as a floating floor, installed over a cement floor with radiant heat?1 answer
A:
This is designed as a nail or gluedown floor however you may install as floating if you use Elastilon self adhesive underlayment as your installation system (found un Molding and Accessories) or over a floating plywood system. Details found in Flooring 101 - Keywords, "Cement" and "Elastilon" - www.lumberliquidators.com/custserv/aboutus.jsp?pageName=Flooring101Q:
I have used a laminate flooring in my kitchen which was a big mistake. While it was a top quality laminate by Dupont it is useless when it comes to water spills. When water gets between the seams it results in causing the laminate to swell at the edges, looks terrible. Will the strand bamboo not swell on the edges due to contact with water or other liquids?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Flooding spills will harm any flooring. Bamboo will hold up to water better but can be damaged by excessive amounts. Hardwood, engineered, laminate (higher warranty laminate is better in high traffic areas like kitchens), vinyl, cork, and high warranty bamboo (Morning Star) is acceptable for installation in a kitchen, but we highly recommend you put a throw rug by the sink because an excess of water can damage any floor. Like hardwood flooring, spills should be toweled dry promptly.Q:
Where is this product made? I would like products from the United States .1 answer
A:
THis material is bamboo and is produced in ChinaQ:
I have 3 dogs, will this product or the Supreme Bamboo Horizontal1 answer
A:
This stranded bamboo definately is the tougher than the Supreme Bamboo HorizontalQ:
What is the Formaldehyde Release Emission for this product? Does it meet E0 or E1 standards (i.e. less than 15 parts per million)?1 answer
A:
The adhesive that is used in bonding our Bamboo, Cork, Engineered, and Laminate flooring products contain very low amounts of Urea Formaldehyde. We feel that our products are very safe and most meet California CARB Phase I or California Phase II regulations, which is listed on the boxes. We also list MSDS sheets for most of these products on the Lumber Liquidators website “Flooring 101”.
