LOVE this floor!!! My husband was pushing for the red hue which I wasn't into at first but it's so unique and looks gorgeous in the house now. We did the ENTIRE house with it after a flood ruined our floors and it's gorgeous! PLUS it's eco friendly!!
This flooring looks absolutely stunning. I hope it proves as durable as it is beautiful.

I bought stair noses & built up stairs. This was extremely tough. The bamboo is tough to face-nail to make stair risers. It is expensive & difficult for steps.
Not all boards were the exact same width. I ended up with some gaps that were tough to avoid. When trying to fix gaps, I ended up damaging quite a few boards. At LEAST 15-20% of the boards had blemishes I wasn't willing to use. I cut those areas out & used the boards to start or finish a row. That was disappointing. However, the finished product is beautiful. Everyone who sees the floor now makes a comment about how amazing it looks. I'd say it's worth the trouble!

We used this beautiful flooring in our den.
We have a few big dogs and it stands up to their rough play perfectly. This floor has trasformed our room from boring to BUDDA BING! Everyone who walks in oohs and ahhhs.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

We installed this in our 9 year-old son's bedroom 1 year ago and it STILL looks amazing. It has withstood every hazard that a group of kids could subject it to (dogs, gravel, dirt, sand, toys, giant toy boxes scraping along the ground)with very few scratches. Very little waste, absolutely no warped boards, and very worth the price. We will be instaling this in the rest of the house!

We are installing this in our second floor and it is gorgeous! I think the color is darker and redder than the online picture- more like the Qing Scorpion. We are glueing it down, due to the hardness, and that took some getting used to, but is easy once you get the hang of it. Mineral spirits removes the excess glue without damaging the wood. Very little wasted wood. Does show dog drool and dust. We couldn't be happier!
This is a beautiful product with an amazing deep rich color all the way through. I was overwhelmed with it's beauty as it covered our floor making the living room look like a million bucks!!! Highly recommend this bamboo. Love the way bamboo is moving into deep colors that coordinate with the newer darker stains available right now.

It scratches very easily. Not a great brand to go with. Finish at the corners is not consistent which shows gaps after install.

The MSDS (Material Data Safety Sheet) sheet lists any health hazards that are associated with the product. Our Moring Star Bamboo product does come from China and is manufactured in China. In the manufacturing of this product a Dynea glue is used to bond the strips of bamboo together under high heat and pressure. Within this glue are small amounts of Urea formaldehyde resins. As you can see in the MSDS can be found by typing "Morning Star MSDS" in the Flooring 101 link below. (Page 2) in the table under Exposure limits it has a TLV – ceiling at 0.3 ppm. TLV stands for Threshold Limit Value. Threshold Limit Value is a level to which it is believed a worker can be exposed day after day to urea formaldehyde for a working lifetime without adverse health effects. The Morning Star bamboo floor meets European E1 emission standards. To meet E1 standard the product must only release small quantities of gaseous Formaldehyde that are below .14 ppm. As you can see on page 5 of the Morning Star MSDS last paragraph it states that the product is below E1 classification. Again this means the product is below .14 ppm, which is well below the TLV ceiling at 0.3 ppm.Q:
