Love this flooring. Had it installed (Dec 2012) in living, dining, kitchen, hall and two bathrooms. It replaced carpeting in the living room, laminate in the kitchen and tile in the bathrooms. It looks and wears great...easy to clean and because of its thickness it hides minor imperfections in the sub-flooring. This product doesn't get cold, chip or crack like tile. It doesn't stain, rip, tear or hold allergens like carpeting. It's 150% easier to maintain than hardwood flooring. Extremely high tolerance to scratching and water has no effect on it. My friends thought I had hardwood flooring installed. It looks like hardwood, but it wears like iron. Currently replacing all floor coverings at the beach house with this product. To date I haven't found anything I don't like about this flooring.

                          A:

TRANQUILITY Resilient Flooring is suitable for installation over Radiant heating systems provided that the heating element is not in direct contact with the Resilient.
New heating systems should be running two weeks before installation to remove residual moisture. Lower temperature of heating system to 60°F for one week prior to installation.

Gradually increase temperature in increments of 10° per day to avoid “shock” to resilient flooring. Surface temperature should not exceed or sustain 85°F

Will vinyl be a good choice for a finished basement that sometimes gets water and when I say sometimes I mean once in the last three yrs that we've owned our home. We'd like a floor that will hold up to water. Thanks so much,

We are having a screened porch built on our home. The porch will be approximately 8 feet above the ground. Can "Tranquility Resilient Flooring" be used on an under roof but outdoor exposed porch which will have rain exposure? We have a very reputable contractor ... and ... how is flooring attached to subflooring on porch, by adhesive?

                          A:

No, Tranquillity Vinyl requires year-round climate control. HOWEVER you can use an unfinished hardwood (preferably quarter/rift sawn) finished with tung or other natural oils as with covered porch flooring. These site finished penetrating sealers expand and contract with the flooring without cracking.
