I installed 500 square feet in my LR, Foyer hall and upstairs hall. Overall very satisfied. The only negative I can cite is that each box contained one board replaced with shorter versions. Sometimes it was a 2/3 borad and a 1/3 board. But 90% of the time it was three 1/3 boards. The 1/3 boards are not nearly as usefull as the 2/3. Seems like they were trying to pawn off excess short pieces.

Thie flooring was very easy to install, the only issue that I had was you can not change the direction if you have an "L" shaped hallway

Beautiful floor but does take work to install, especially the varying widths of real wood. Just had to match them up. Loved the ease of the drop and lock with no pounding with a hammer.
Service and delivery comments:
Even with the delays of being back ordered the Kennewick store was fantastic to work with.

We installed this floor (600 sf) in our ranch house three months ago and couldn't be happier. The install in the main room was a breeze but halls and closets can slow down installation. We had the whole job done in 8 hours.
We used a power mitre saw to cut the segment lengths and a Sears table saw to rip the edges where necessary. All of the pieces "clicked" together easily or with a few taps to a block with a rubber mallet.
We have a large dog (70lbs) and have not seen any scratches or marks created by his claws.
We started off just doing the dining room and our floor looked so good that we continued thru the entryway and living room. This floor looks fantastic
So easy to install. We have three dogs and there is no marring or scratching.
installed over concrete in A slab house only took A little over A hour to install A 112 sf. Plan on buying Another 600 sf for the rest of the house truly A GREAT LOOKING FLOOR. Sales people in east peoria Illinois are Great.

A:
Absolutely, in dry basement of course. A 6 to 8 mil poly sheeting moisture barrier should be laid for floating floors for an On or Below Grade Concrete subfloor. Bellawood Premium Underlayment, or Quiet Walk underlayment for floating floors.Q:

I have two large German Shepherds who basically scratch the finished completely off my acid stained concrete floors. Is there any hardwood "hard" enough to withstand 100lb dogs running about without completely destroying it?1 answer
A:
Not really, think about it if these dogs destroyed the finish on concrete I doubt that pre-finished wood will hold up as wood is softer than concrete.Q:
