The product exceeded my exspectations and looks beautiful. I glued it to concrete, approximately 350 square feet. I offset the end joints about 9 1/2 inches each and ended up with very little waste. Very pleased with the light color which is exactly what my wife wanted.

Comments about Morning Star 5/8" x 3-3/4" Tai Shan Mist Bamboo:
Installed this product in my kitchen and looked great. The only problem I have with this product is that the finish chips and flakes off very easily leaving natural bamboo underneath. Things like sliding a chair or dropping a spoon may remove the finish. Only buy this product if you will be very gentle with it. I will probably refinish it and leave it natural.

Comments about Morning Star 5/8" x 3-3/4" Tai Shan Mist Bamboo:
This makes a truly beautiful floor, serenely elegant. So far, I have used it in a bedroom, a hallway, and in a powder room, plus I have just ordered more! It made my room look like a ballet studio and really fills it with light. The cons were that it proved much too challenging for a DIY project and the soundproof glue they recommended made a huge mess and came in a contaier that was much too heavy. I only bought half the amount I was told was necessary and it was still way more than needed and it dried up on us mid job so had to go out and purchase some cheap gorilla glue to finish---which, by the way, worked great and made no mess plus was light weighted. [...] Other customers I met were also back for more because they loved their choice too, but they had chosen the black stain and I had the white mist.

We LOVE our newly remodeled family room/sun room! This is a beautiful and unique way to lighten up a room. It shows little to no dust. However, you do see the stuff that you need to clean. I think this would be great in a baby's room as well.
We have 3 young children who are dropping toys and stuff on the floor on a daily basis. We have had a few dings, however it has held up well.

Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4mm click together product that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern.Q:

Why is this type of floor a glue or nail installation only? Is it due to the properties of the wood (rigidity) or some other issue experienced with Bamboo and not other wood types?1 answer
A:
The boards are milled very flat and straight in addition the bamboo is 5/8" thick and we recommend these floors be nailed or glued only since they are too rigid to give as a floating floor.Q:
Can this product be used as a ceiling? If not, which products would you recommend, if any?1 answer
A:
This could be done, but you would have to nail the flooring to the ceiling studs. We do not warranty this type of installation.Q:
How isnthe floor with a common household spill such as coffee, etc. Will it stain?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Urethane finishes seal the flooring so spills will not soak in and stain. Spills still should be toweled up right quick.
