Handscraped appearance and texture... Just like Hardwood flooring!

Kensington Manor by Dream Home - 12mm Tanzanian Wenge Laminate Flooring - 30 Year Warranty

Kensington Manor is a premium 12mm + 3mm pre-glued underlayment laminate product line. What is unique is that most of the line has a handscraped finish appearance. This is not simply in the look, but also in the actual texture!
The combination of these 2 characteristics gives them a beautiful rustic feel!
Also, the V-groove and pre-glued 3mm underlayment will make your installation process quick and easy.

Quick Installation Tips:
- Store flooring flat for 48 hours in its original packaging at room temperature.
- Must be installed over a clean, stable, flat, smooth, and dry surface.
- Moisture barrier is recommended for installations over concrete.
- Make sure the panels are mixed sufficiently when you install them so that you do not end up with too many identical, light or dark panels next to each other.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE ADDITIONAL PADDING:
Laminates having pre-attached padding can also be installed over an underlayment. When doing so, Lumber Liquidators recommends the use of our Bellawood Premium underlayment or ECO Silent Sound underlayment. These quality underlayments will best support the joints while ensuring superior thermal sound reduction qualities and are highly recommended for use with condominium associations, project planners and building specifiers.

Kensington Manor Flooring Advantages:
- Three different plank lengths per box
- No glue and no nails needed
- Easy Click Installation
- Moisture resistant board
- Thickness: 12mm + 3mm (1/8") pre-glued underlayment
- AC Rating: 3
- 30 Year Warranty

We caught up with real Lumber Liquidators' customers who volunteered to discuss their floor shopping, buying and installation experiences. In no way did these customers receive compensation for their kind words. (They're speaking straight from the heart.)

We laid this floor in my adult daughter's basement bedroom as a recent renovation. It looks fabulous because the floor looks like it has a wave to it, but really doesn't, which adds texture to the floor and interest to the room. We love it!

These are absolutely beautiful! Great quality and easy to install. My only con is that they show dirt right away. We are getting an I robot vacuum... so worth it to have these beautiful dark floors!

            Pros

              Cons

              • Shows dog hair
              • Shows foot prints

              Best Uses

My husband and brother in law just installed this product in my kitchen and downstairs living area. They seemed to install it fairly fast with no problems. It has been in less than a week, so I can't comment on the durability of it at this point, but I will update after awhile.

The floor looks awesome! It's just what I had imagined and was hoping for. The only downfall is that it shows EVERYTHING. Granted, I have the worlds hairiest yellow lab and two other dogs, but it shows every dog hair and paw print they track in (it's been raining). I vacuum religiously as it is, and it's just not cutting it. I've found myself vacuuming much more than before, and also mopping every other day to keep it looking clean.

Bottom line, good looking floor, but if you have heavy foot traffic, light haired pets, etc. be prepared for it to constantly look dirty!

Its very nice when complete. Only problem is that some of the pieces had a chip on them during the install process and if you dont catch it, your stuck with a chip on the floor which could flake off more.

We put this in our living room, entry and dining room. We loved the color as we like dark wood and hand-scraped. However with our two dogs, it is impossible to keep clean. We love everything about them except that.

Mix it up & shuffle the deck by working from three to four boxes at a time utilizing all lengths maintaining a minimum 6 inch joint stagger to create a random look (there is no set pattern to follow).

                          Floating Stair Step Installations:

                          1. Starting from the bottom of the staircase working up, cut the stair riser to match the height and width of the step. The risers can be made from the flooring or other finished material.
                          2. The flush Stair Nosing is then installed to overlap and cover the riser.
                          (Nail and glue for safety,)
                          3. Cut the flooring to length and assemble it with the Stair Nosing. The step
assembly can be done first and installed as one piece if preferred.
                          4. An additional "filler" piece of flooring must be added to the back of the flooring.

The Steps and Risers should be attached by direct gluing to the stair using 100& urethane
construction adhesive or wood mastic. (For safety, omit all padding)
TIP; fit and adjust each step before gluing.
Yes, laminate flooring can be used to cover a set of stairs but due to the overlap design of the stair nosings it would not be my first choice for a full flight of stairs.
We sell replacement stairs and risers. Thank you for your inquiry.

                          A:

Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4mm click together product that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.

Does this product line have transition pieces for where the laminate will meet ceramic tile, a fireplace etc? I do not see them on the website.

We do retail the matching transitions and moldings for this material, I apologize they are not online - with over 2,500 moldings and transitions sometimes they are not all listed on our website

Yes it can. With proper installation and care this flooring will last for years in this application. A:

Measure each tread, length x width Example; 34" x 11" = 374 divide by 144 to get sq ft =2.59 sq ft. add 5 % for waste factor.
Do the same for the risers if they are being done.
On standard width stairs (34" width) 6 sq ft per step will cover it.
                          Thank you for writing in.

Wax filler sticks or color-putty are available at your local paint store or home center used for minor hardwood repairs. This process is used to fill-in dents, nicks and gouges. Select the appropriate stick color to match the damaged area. Often several colors are used to blend colors for exotic species bring a scrap piece of the flooring to match it up. Thank you for your inquiry.
