Comments about Dream Home - Kensington Manor 12mm Tanzanian Wenge Laminate:
Easy to install and the boards are already staggered. They look beautiful when complete. Now the bad news: the edges of the boards can breaks pretty easily so be careful when installing. The manufacturer was not always consistent with each board and the edges do not always line up causing a ridge which can chip after installation. They don't scrape too easily but they can dent and scuff very easily. We have children and all their plastic ride on toys left permanent scuff marks all over the floors. So parents beware!

Solid made product. Hand scrapped finish almost makes you forget it's a laminate. The joinery for click and lock is superb and locks right down with ease.

Comments about Dream Home - Kensington Manor 12mm Tanzanian Wenge Laminate:
Overall, extremely pleased with our decision. We (group of 5) installed over 1200 square foot of Tanzanian Wenge over a single weekend (our entire first floor.) For all but one of us, it was our first time installing. I had done considerable research prior to installing which was very helpful. Only challenge was to stay tight enough to the finish wall with cuts (not a product issue but rather a newbie install issue.) Only downside to the product was that it chipped relatively easy when installing. Again, since I haven't done this before, this might be common with all laminate product. Very happy with our floors!

Comments about Dream Home - Kensington Manor 12mm Tanzanian Wenge Laminate:
yes, it shows dust and dirt easily but its gorgeous, worth the extra work. we followed another reviewers recommendation and I used a black sharpie along the edges of each board so that the seams would show less, we're so glad we did. if you get a scratch black sharpie helps then too!

Hard to prevent edge chips on install but this is understandable from laminate. Try placing an old t-shirt under your pull bar before tapping in the planks.

Comments about Dream Home - Kensington Manor 12mm Tanzanian Wenge Laminate:
We had a professional flooring company install over 1200 sq. ft. of this flooring throughout the up and down-stairs, including the stairs themselves. We couldn't be happier with the appearance; we love the hand-scraped look and feel of these floors. We didn't encounter any problems with pieces being scratched in the boxes (over 58 of them) and we have yet to see a scratch since they were installed. We do have two large dogs, both Airedale Terriers, and they haven't been able to scratch them either, nor do I believe they could. The do tend to show the dirt smudges, dust, and need to be cleaned regularly like others mentioned, but hardly a reason to avoid. The Shark vacuum for hard surfaces works great just can't use the steam function with the flooring. Over-all, I would re-purchase and would re-install in another home if given the opportunity!

Comments about Dream Home - Kensington Manor 12mm Tanzanian Wenge Laminate:
I always wanted dark floors and was informed about the cons about the dirt, but I guess it was a price I had to pay for wanting them. I must say that so far I love them. I had a professional install them and overall they did a good job. I had them installed all through the second floor in my house. The only bad thing was that the master bedroom's subfloor was not leveled out, so my floor is lumpy. Will buy some area rugs to help the issue a bit.

can i install this on a bathroom? i would like to have the bottom floor of my house all done with the same laminate.1 answer
A:
Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4mm click together product that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
Does this product line have transition pieces for where the laminate will meet ceramic tile, a fireplace etc? I do not see them on the website.1 answer
A:
We do retail the matching transitions and moldings for this material, I apologize they are not online - with over 2,500 moldings and transitions sometimes they are not all listed on our websiteQ:

Is this a good floor for two large dogs?1 answer

Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.
