good

Comments about Ultrabond Urethane Cleaner:

There was adhesive wiped on the pants of the installer, which ended up on my floor. I was told to get this product from Lumber Liquidators.

This is a great product!

By pdfchem

from Canyon, Texas

Comments about Ultrabond Urethane Cleaner:

We used the product to remove glue that was left on the hardwood floor after installation. The product is terrific at removing the glue. The only disadvantage is that it leaves a slight film residue on the floor that has to be removed with a dry cloth for immediate use. After a short time the film evaporates and the floor looks polished.

Great for glue clean-up

Comments about Ultrabond Urethane Cleaner:

I had installers do the floor, and they usually use thinner to remove glue residue...while the extra expense could be saved they said this product worked much better and did not exude fumes as intoxicating as the thinner

      Works well

      Comments about Ultrabond Urethane Cleaner:

I bought this stuff because I was going to glue down some bamboo throughout my house. It was expensive but all the other similar cleaners were the same price. I used a rag to wipe the glue off as I was working. After the job was done, I could see spots where glue was still there (slight haze look). Using this product helped get thoses spots clean. One 32oz can should be enough for 800-1000sq ft of floor.

Anyone who has done glue removal knows it is messy and it seems you never have gotten it all. Yes, good product and is effective in removing even old glue. I highly would recommend using it.

Somehow I got some DAP glue on my new laminate floor. We used acetone to remove the glue(it worked) but now the area is dull. What can I do to improve the look?

              A:

Here's something you can try! (Always test on scrap board or in an inconspicuous area first).
1.) Using the Ultimate Adhesive Remover towelette (or a mineral spirit dampened clean rag) and place on the spotted area, let stand for 10 minutes or so.
2.) Take an original Mr Clean Magic Eraser (This is a foam pad found in the cleaning section in most grocery stores). Use the foam side. Some have a scouring pad on 1-side that is too aggressive. Buff the area with the Magic Eraser in the long direction of the plank.
3.) Get a clean white cotton cloth and/or micro-fiber cloth, very lightly dampened with water, wipe off the residue you created.
              Sorry no guarantees.

              A:

It could be that the adhesive was left on the finish to long and it caused a blemish in the finish. The cleaner will remove the adhesive, but it will not be able to fix areas where the adhesive may have bonded to the finish. It is very important to remove any adhesive off the finish right away.
