    Pros

    • Durable
    • Easy to clean
    • Installation went well
    • Very little waste

    Cons

    • Instructions not great
    • No Arrows On Any Tiles

    Best Uses

    • Sunroom

This is a new install over wood subfloor in a 12x16 sunroom. It will be easy to care for and will look good with lots of different types of furniture and accessories. We developed our own installation procedures which worked better than the ones that came with it. The end result was no seams or gaps and a square install. Looks wonderful!

    Great for the basement

    By imdakimmer

    from Chicago, IL

    Pros

    • Can Take It Back Up
    • Easy to cut
    • Provides Nice Cushion
    • Waterproof

    Cons

    • Tight Corners Can Be Hard

    Best Uses

    • Anywhere with water
    • Basement

We used this is 500 sq ft of basement space and installed it ourselves. Pretty easy to cut, and we had many, many special cuts around the furnace, HW heater, sump pit, pipes, etc. The manufacturing tolerances seem pretty tight, so the product is very consistent. Still, to get the seams tight, would highly recommend a good rubber mallet. Pliers help to break off small, funky cuts. Took longer than predicted, but this was anything but a square room. Also, seems to accommodate slight hills and slopes in the floor, although at certain spots near the wall we weighted it down before caulking to the wall to "mold" it to the floor. Shortly after we had 2/3rds of it installed, we had a sewer back-up issue. Was pretty easy to take up what we had laid, wash it, bleach the cement floor and re-lay the tiles. Looks great, and we love the cushiony feel underfoot. So easy to sweep and mop.

    • Great apperance
    • Thick Solid Vinyl
    • Very little waste

    Cons

      Best Uses

Tried this product for the first time in one of my apartment rentals. My contractor loved the product over the sheet goods and stick together panels we had be trying.
Installation was easy, installed without damage or much waste and looked like real tile when completed. We will continue using this product in kitchens and bathrooms and also any place that may encounter wet or moist conditions.

If the planks are cold allow them to warm up and it makes it way easier to install. I finished a 12X12' room in under 2 hours.

                  • Needed For The Bathroom

My install was for a bathroom. The room has cabinets, doors and angled walls. The click process requires you to install short-side first, then angle the long-side in. Not easy feat most of the time. Some pieces took me 15 minutes to install without disturbing the previous piece. Over all it took me three times as long as it should of. The floor looks good, not perfect. The "click" is not always easy. A simple rectangle room would have been easier.

If you use a square to hold tile in place as you tape it in place, it goes down much easier and quicker.
Not a one-person job; need two people!
Had not done this before, so I was a novice; would have been nice if employees would demo how to click tiles together after first row.

                  • Q:

we purchased the Venetian Cream resilient click flooring for among other things, a powder room/back entryway. The powder room is 36 inches wide and the adjacent floor is 39 inches wide. Would you recommend laying the tiles on the midline of the room and cutting tiles that will be next to the walls? this is the only way we can figure because you don't recommend ending with small strips. Thank you.

                    Hello,
I'm thinking of purchasing vinyl planking in my kitchen, dining room, and entrance way. I undstand the product I'm looking at has a 50 year warranty. I was told this can be layed without padding under the flooring but does that hurt the 50 year warranty on the product?

Can this floor be put down over porcelein tile? Should we use underlay? The tile is builder grade when our home was built in 1999....the tile is in good condition..we want something easier on the feet.
