Comments about Dream Home - St. James 12mm Vintner's Reserve Laminate:
We just finished a complete make over of our master bedroom. The motive was to get rid of the carpet that was beyond its use. At age 67 I managed to put the new floor down myself in both the bedroom and walk in closet in two days. The end result is incredible. My husband and I are both extremely happy with the rich appearance and overall quality of the product. I would not hesitate to do this again. Excellent price and great quality.

Anyone that has seen the installed product is extremely impressed with the look and appearance of the flooring.
Service and delivery comments:
I picked up the flooring from the store, all was well. However during the install found a number of damaged edges when opening the boxes but was able to still use in the installation.

Comments about Dream Home - St. James 12mm Vintner's Reserve Laminate:
The floor is beautiful - changed the whole look of our living room. Everything feels much nicer and cleaner now. It does show every speck of dirt, crumbs, grass, pet hair, etc., but nothing that a quick sweeping won't take care of. I have two young boys and it has held up great so far to all of their cars, blocks, trains and anything else they can drag across it. We used LL installers, and they were great - quick, professional, and knowledgable.

Comments about Dream Home - St. James 12mm Vintner's Reserve Laminate:
We have placed 3 different types of flooring throughout the house, we are using the Vintner's Reserve in the living room, kitchen area, I had it professional installed 2 months ago and have manny scratches. Some water spilled on the floor and by next morning the floor starting separating and warping. The floor is easily cleaned, but being dark color, it shows the dirt.

Comments about Dream Home - St. James 12mm Vintner's Reserve Laminate:
It looks beautiful, shines nice after its been cleaned. Bad thing is that dirt, dust and shoe prints are very visible so it needs to be swept and mopped very frequently. The dirt gets into all the cracks so it makes the floor still look dusty even after its been swept. I read several reviews that said it was hard to clean, but I bought it anyway since it looked beautiful. Now I'm regretting it. I should have chosen a floor that is completely smooth where no dirt gets trapped into the cracks.

Comments about Dream Home - St. James 12mm Vintner's Reserve Laminate:
We installed this flooring in our dining room a few months ago and loved it so much we just bought it to lay over the worn hardwood in our master bedroom. My teenage daughter and I installed this flooring ourselves, without the help of any handymen. You really can't mess this up! The flooring is very thick and therefore masks the creeks from our older sub-floor. The color is so rich looking and the product is TOP quality. Even with a smaller child and dogs, the floor has held up wonderfully and cleans very easily. We expected to pay a fortune for this quality of flooring - and it far surpasses anything we've seen in the big box stores. Do yourself a favor and buy this floor!

Comments about Dream Home - St. James 12mm Vintner's Reserve Laminate:
We have just installed 2,400 SQFT house, except for kitchen and bathrooms.
Floor is much more beatiful after completed than just seeing the store sample. I can't comment about the dificulty of the installation since we had lumber liquidator team installed.
Product was on sale, and in spite of the cost, floor doesn't look cheap. Rather expensive with classy, elegant feel. We are very pleased with the choice. Last year, we had African Mahogany installed in our condominium, and I wish we used this product instead. To me, this seems much classy than African Mahogany. I have already showed my new floor to my coleages, and they want same thing on their flooring.

Comments about Dream Home - St. James 12mm Vintner's Reserve Laminate:
I had these floors installed last week (7/25/2012) and I love em! The floors go great in my dining room/living room and look fantabulous (my word!) with my cherry cabinets in the kitchen ... and they also look awesome as stand alone "wood" in the den/office. The installation was quick -- hired professinonals from Robert's -- started at 8:30 a.m. and done by 2:00 p.m. or so. They are easy to clean and don't easily scratch (proven with all the moving I did the following days). If you are looking for something "rustic" but chic... check out these floors. I've told all my friends about this laminate (and even gave the guy that sold me my new home the 411 on the installation and costs). People who've seen the floors love em too.

Q:
I have this Vintner Reserve Laminate through out my house, newly built. The flooring is absolutely beautiful but I cannot keep it clean...I have mopped with just water, tried all kinds of floor cleaners and it still smudges and streaks terrible....HELP!!!!!!1 answer
A:
We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. Our Bellawood floor cleaner does not contain any polishes ,wax or anything that will build on the surface and is recommended to be used on all our flooring products. I do hear of this scenario often enough and it always prooves out that there was another cleaning product used previously on the floor that is reacting to the Bellawood cleaner. Most likely once the residue is removed from the original factory finish the floor can be maintained easily. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
DO you deliver to the barge lines in Seattle Washington for shipment to Alaska1 answer
A:
Yes, we do deliver to the ports in Seattle for delivery in AlaskaQ:
Can you clean this laminate with a steam mop?1 answer
A:
We do not recommend steam mops or Roomba Scooba robots on our laminates or on any of our wood floor products. Although appropriate for kitchen sheet vinyl or ceramic tiles, wood, laminate and cork floorings have raw seam edges that can swell or cup with use of these cleaning methods. We recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
I have cats and dogs. How will this stand up to accidents?1 answer
A:
This laminate is the thickest we retail other than our one 15MM laminate, this is a very good product for high traffic and petsQ:
What would you recommend to be used with this product, a table saw or a mitre saw? I assume a 10"blade with 80teeth be recommended?1 answer
A:
Both would be ideal; mitre saw for cross cuts & a table saw for ripping down the width of boards (starting & end walls) If you need to purchase one or the other get the mitre saw (60 to 80 tooth carbide blade is good).Q:
does both the sides and ends of the boards snap together, or is it a drop floor system? If water is accidently spilled on it will it soak in quickly between the seams, or is it able to let water stand on it without soaking in? Recently found some flooring (didnt like the color) that the water actually set on the seams for hours and never soaked in.1 answer
A:
You can find complete care and installation instructions on the product page by clicking on the specs tab and then clicking on - Installation Guide.pdfQ:
Can I use this floor in a commercial restaurant.1 answer
A:
Your best option is to give our Commercial Sales Team a call at 800-476-0007, I am sure you can use this material in a commerical application but I am unsure of the warranty if used in that settingQ:
What is the swell rate for this floor?1 answer
A:
This laminate has an AC3 rating.Q:
What product do you recommend for scrathes on the floor?1 answer
A:
You can purchase a repair kit from any one of your local big box stores, sometimes it may take more than one color mixed with another to come up with a good color matchQ:
We are considering using this in our home (dining room, living room, and one bedroom) but we have two large dogs. I have read the reviews on the "scratches easily" comments and I am concerned that we will have very damaged floors within a short time. Is there a way to remove these scratches? Thank you!!1 answer
A:
This is the best option we carry based on thickness in a laminate for pets, scratching floors can be prevented by pets by keeping the nails trimmed and filed
