St. James Collection by Dream Home - 12mm Vintners Reserve High Gloss Laminate Flooring - 30 Year Warranty

With a variety of 12mm V groove laminate options with an additional 3mm of pre-glued underlayment, from a high gloss to a warm low gloss finish, and with deep, warm to medium hues, this spectacular flooring make a stunning floor!
St. James offers a regal alternative. And the V groove makes it a snap to install!
At 12mm, the St. James Collection is very durable and comes with a 30 year warranty!

Quick Installation Tips:
- Store flooring flat for 48 hours in its original packaging at room temperature.
- Must be installed over a clean, stable, flat, smooth, and dry surface.
- Moisture barrier is recommended for installations over concrete.
- Make sure the panels are mixed sufficiently when you install them so that you do not end up with too many identical, light or dark panels next to each other. Note: Plank lengths are equal and not random lengths.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE ADDITIONAL PADDING:
Laminates having pre-attached padding can also be installed over an underlayment. When doing so, Lumber Liquidators recommends the use of our Bellawood Premium underlayment or ECO Silent Sound underlayment. These quality underlayments will best support the joints while ensuring superior thermal sound reduction qualities and are highly recommended for use with condominium associations, project planners and building specifiers.

St. James Collection's Advantages:
- No glue and no nails needed
- Easy Click Installation
- Moisture resistant board
- 12mm + 3mm (1/8") pre-glued underlayment
- AC Rating: 3
- 30 Year Warranty

I would buy again

By K

from MS

Pros

  • Nice Gloss Padded
  • Not Easliy Stratched

Cons

  • Takes Man Power To Click

Best Uses

Nice laminate flooring, 12mm thickness with padding. Nice gloss & not easily stratched. I do have kids & they do play on it from time to time.It does take some man power to get the flooring to click @ times but the do it yourself kit does help. Also have a saw on hand b/c you're going to need it.

many people said it looks really good
looks like good hard wood floor
but to me it is little glossy you will see your foot print if you are not wearing shoes.
since the the floor is dark, you will find more dirt on the floor

durability. my parents has wood floor it looks nice
however since my little two kids visit them often
i see many 'toy drop' dent on the floor but my floor?....you know what i mean...i feel so bad for my parents.

    Best Uses

We installed this floor in January 2010 when we built our house. Since then we have had a baby, and the floor has held up great so far! It is a very pretty finish. We have been complimented from almost everyone who has seen it. The only issue we have ever had was keeping it clean. We like for it to look shiny. After a few months we started using a Swiffer Wetjet to clean it, but it takes a long time to clean it without any streaks left. We buy new Swiffer pads at least twice a month now that we have an 18 month old throwing food all over the place! Once we get it clean and shiny the way we like it, it only lasts for a few hours before it loses the shiny and goes back to looking decent, but not spectacular. It is thicker, and doesn't click like other laminate floors tend to. We have dropped many things on this floor and have only one scratch from where I dropped a corner of our couch, but we touched it up and you can't even tell now! Overall, we made a good investment with this floor, and I would recommend it.

Had my floor installed in February and it all ready has several scratches.....Though laminate would be more durable since we have grandkids that live with us, but I was wrong...It is beautiful when first laid but I wouldn't recommend it....

This products has a nice look and feel to it. There were a few damaged boards. It does scratch fairy easily so be careful about dragging stuff across the floor. It didn't click together very easy.... we used a small piece of floor and a hammer to get it to lock in. Beyond that for the price I think it is a good products.

I had read reviews that this floor scratched and warped easily and showed a lot of dust. None of those have proven true for us, the picture attached is after install, before cleaning - tons and tons of saw dust which is why it looks dirty, but in normal amounts it's not noticeable.

My husband was almost annoyed with how difficult it was to scratch because he wanted to use a razor to outline where he would need to cut before cutting and couldn't get the board to scratch.

We've also spilled water on it and had no problems. I was so worried that I wouldn't like the floor because many of the other pictures are installed in a pattern and the wood looks repetitious to me, we didn't install in a pattern though and it looks great, I am loving it!!

Also, this is the third laminate floor we've installed in the last 2 years and definitely the easiest.

hello i purchsed this flooring and online it said low gloss. my boxes which i just unloaded into my home say high gloss. i would prefer the low gloss if it available. are there indeed different finishes available for Vitner's Reserve flooring or is this a typo on the internet? i didnt think there was any need to review these at the store, as they were loaded directly from the pallet into my truck and i didnt even think to confirm the gloss. help!

I apologizes for the misinformation you received on the product that you purchased, it is a misprint regarding the low gloss description. This product is not available in a low gloss finish.
Within the ST. James line there are some styles with a low gloss finish. Thank you for bringing this to our attention we will fix this immediately.

We live in VA and we have an open concept house with the kitchen and family room connected. The full length of the room is 39 feet. is it possible to run this flooring without a transition piece? also note there is a fairly large island so there is only about a 5 ft section that will run the full 39 ft.

Expansion breaks allowed normal floor movement independent of other connected rooms and large room installs. Any Rome are connected area greater than 27 feet in any direction must-have expansion breaks placed into the flooring. Expansion breaks and T-molding transitions should be installed between adjoining rooms connections and hallways and all doorways. Failure to meet these requirements can result in floor buckling separating or gapping

How many square feet does one box of the vitners reserve cover? I have one box left over from my floor installation so I'm thinking about installing this flooring in my bedroom. Thank you.

We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.

Yes, of course this heavy item will lock the flooring down and prevent expansion under it so it is critical that there is free movement in all directions away from it.

Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4mm click together product that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.

DREAM HOME flooring can be used in combination with many types of in-floor heating.
                              1. Follow the instructions from the supplier of the floor heating system.
                              2. Concrete subfloors must be installed and cured a minimum of 60 days.
                              3. The heating system must be in operation for at least two weeks before installation to dissipate any residual moisture. During installation, the system may be turned off or set to a suitable installation temperature 65 to 75°F.
                              4. Adjust the heating system gradually. The heating surface temperature must not exceed 85°F.
