Give your floors a REAL WOOD look and feel with St. James Collection!

St. James Collection by Dream Home - 12mm Vintners Reserve High Gloss Laminate Flooring - 30 Year Warranty

With a variety of 12mm V groove laminate options with an additional 3mm of pre-glued underlayment, from a high gloss to a warm low gloss finish, and with deep, warm to medium hues, this spectacular flooring make a stunning floor!
St. James offers a regal alternative. And the V groove makes it a snap to install!
At 12mm, the St. James Collection is very durable and comes with a 30 year warranty!

Quick Installation Tips:
- Store flooring flat for 48 hours in its original packaging at room temperature.
- Must be installed over a clean, stable, flat, smooth, and dry surface.
- Moisture barrier is required for installations over concrete.
- Make sure the panels are mixed sufficiently when you install them so that you do not end up with too many identical, light or dark panels next to each other. Note: Plank lengths are equal and not random lengths.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE ADDITIONAL PADDING:
Laminates having pre-attached padding can be installed over an underlayment. When doing so, Lumber Liquidators recommends the use of our Bellawood Premium underlayment or ECO Silent Sound underlayment. These quality underlayments will best support the joints while ensuring superior thermal sound reduction qualities and are highly recommended for use with condominium associations, project planners and building specifiers.

St. James Collection's Advantages:
- No glue and no nails needed
- Easy Click Installation
- Moisture resistant board
- 12mm + 3mm (1/8") pre-glued underlayment
- AC Rating: 3
- 30 Year Warranty

We caught up with real Lumber Liquidators' customers who volunteered to discuss their floor shopping, buying and installation experiences. In no way did these customers receive compensation for their kind words. (They're speaking straight from the heart.)

        Best Uses

        • Any room you want

I've installed about 3000 feet of laminate flooring over the years, starting with the early Pergo flooring where each board had to be glued to the next board. This product is the latest "snap together laminate" I've used and I think it is the best yet. Easy to install and very pretty once installed. You just need to use a small block to knock each piece a time or two with a hammer in order to get them to properly set in place so there are no gaps between pieces.

We ripped up some very old carpet and put this floor down. It makes the room feel so clean, it's easy to care for, and the rooms look bigger. I would never use carpet again for these rooms, dining, living and hallway, if I had more money I would have put in every room except the bath.

looks great, easy to install, but if you have pets, don't let it get wet. it will warp at the seams quickly if the moisture is not removed immediately

                        Best Uses

Put this flooring in our home. Easy to install and looks great. Get tons of compliments. I was under the impression that laminate can stand up to wear and tear better than other wood flooring. I'm seeing quite a few long hairline scratches, swirl marks from just the foot traffic during the install (going in and out to the saw and back). We are enforcing the no shoe rule but bottom line is it just doesn't take much to scratch the floor. I still 'recommend' because I don't have any history with other brands. Would suggest researching which brands stand up to scratches better. If there are none buy tile instead.

                          Best Uses

                          • High traffic areas

Product looks very good down. Have used in several homes. During installation, each piece needed a very light "tap" with a block to securely lock into place. Product is not as dense as other flooring I have used, but with careful professional, or competent amateur, installation it should be fine. My customer feedback is very positive. Everyone likes the look of it so far.

Installed in 11x14 bedroom. Began at a double closet with notched planks in door openings followed by a course into the closet then one outside closet. Moved 3 course assembly into position allowing for expansion and worked into the closet then to opposite side of room wall and ended with a full plank course. Came put great. Easy to assemble as the end locks follow the lengthwise locks on the planks making assembling of rows easier. Being dark and glossy reveals scratches in the right light if you look hard enough. Overall not an issue.

Product looks great and installed relatively easily with the help of the installation kit which I do recommend. I had to make some tricky cuts which definitely adds to the install time. If someone was only doing a perfectly square room I bet this would install lightning fast. If you have some tough angles and more difficult areas expect a longer install time. I am very pleased with the overall look of my new floor.

Our flooring is installed. We had a lot of issues with damaged floor boards or the locking mechanisms. We would get it locked in then come back to connect the next plank and it would separate. We were very cautious to make sure it was locked in place. Were finally able to get it all installed. Looks great from a distance. A few days later, as I was cleaning it by hand, I noticed gapping that was not there when we were installing (we have had crazy weather - snow one day spring like the next although we did let it acclimate 4 days in the room). At night time its even worse because the part that connects the boards together is a much lighter color then the floor itself so it is glaring (St James Collection Vintar's Reserve) Any recommendations without pulling up all the floor.

I bought this floor and the seam in between pieces is fairly wide. As a result the floor is warping at the seams from any type of moisture i.e wet shoes. Is there a sealer or finish I can put on top of the floor to make it so the water doesn't ruin my floors? In addition to the warping the color is chipping around the seams as well. I haven't even had the floors for a year yet.

                                          A:

Our wood floors are manufactured for maximum durability, easy maintenance and finished with a high quality aluminum oxide water base urethane UV cured finish. This step protects the wood and helps keep the flooring looking beautiful longer. While highly durable, the finish is NOT considered indestructible. However, by observing a few precautions like setting up a regular cleaning routine and simple maintenance program to protect the finish, you can expect years of performance and beauty from your wood floor. All wood floors can show signs of wear over time. There are many factors that can affect the amount of wear. These include the size and lifestyle of your family and product location.
                                          The following cleaning principles are recommended for all of our products -Hardwood, Laminates, Corks, Bamboo and other Exotics. Outlined are examples of the reasonable and necessary maintenance to be performed; this is only intended to be a basic list;
                                          • Immediately after installation, be certain that the flooring is completely cleaned and dry as described below. If you must protect the flooring from traffic, use only “craft” paper, brown, red or white, this will allow the flooring to “breathe”. Do not fully cover the flooring. NEVER lay plastic of any kind or any other non-porous material over the flooring as this can trap moisture, harm the flooring or fade the finish.
                                          • Sweep or vacuum regularly, since built-up dirt, grit and sand can damage the surface of the wood. If using a vacuum, use a soft brush attachment -NOT A BEATER BAR ATTACHMENT. Be certain the wheels of the vacuum are clean and do not damage the finish. When using a broom be certain that bristles are soft. You can also use a dry mop.
                                          • Because of the myriad of cleaning products available and methods of each application, Lumber Liquidators cannot endorse or oversee the use of any Brand Name of floor cleaner. We do recommend cleaning products safe for urethane finishes such as our Bellawood floor cleaner.
                                          • The use of a changeable terry cloth type system to clean the floor is highly recommended; apply cleaning solution to the terry cloth not the floor.
                                          • NEVER use oil soaps, liquid, or paste wax products or other household cleaners that contain lemon oil, Tung oil, silicone, or ammonia on pre-finished flooring. The use of these products will harm the long-term performance and appearance of your floor and may affect future re-coating. (Damages caused by non-recommended cleaning products are not covered by warranties). NOTE: This also includes the use of vinegar and water solutions as water can damage wood. Vinegar is an acidic element that can have an oxidizing, caustic effect on the finish.
                                          • In an effort to clean hardwood floors, many have experimented with a variety of cleaners on the market and end up with a new problem. “How to remove the build-up of cleaning products revealing the original surface"? If this is the case with you, we recommend consulting with a professional cleaner local to your area because they can best see the details involved and make the most accurate recommendations. If you choose to remove the layers of build-up yourself, use cotton rags instead of a mop to control the amount of liquid used.
                                          • NEVER wet-mop, damp-mop, swab or flood your floor with water or any other product. Moisture can seep into the seams causing edge-cupping damage. Urethane floors do not require wet mopping. Natural floors are water resistant, not water proof. Remove all spills promptly using a soft, slightly damp cloth
                                          • STEAM CLEANERS OR WET-JET swiffer; Lumber Liquidators does not recommend "Water brooms" "Wet-Jet Swiffers or steamer type cleaners on laminates, corks or hardwood floors. Although steamers may work well cleaning OTHER types of hard surface flooring, the 130° to 240° heated steam vapor can ruin wood or urethane finish resulting in warped or cupped flooring. Water and wood do not mix well, especially steam. Use these products at your own risk.
                                          • Do place protective mats at entry doors to keep dirt, grit, sand and moisture from being track in from the outside.
                                          • Do use area rugs in heavily traveled areas and pivot points (e.g., stair landings, room entries, etc.), especially if you have a large family or indoor pets.
                                          • When using area rugs, use a rug pad with a felt, plant or PVC based backing. DO NOT use area rugs with a petroleum based rubber backing (typically black) as this can cause permanent chemical staining/etching of the floor finish.
                                          • Take reasonable precautions; use a dolly and protective sheets of plywood when moving heavy objects such as furniture and appliances.
                                          • Place protective pads beneath furniture legs and feet to reduce scratches and dents. Check and replace wore pads regularly.
                                          • Keep pet’s nails trimmed, and paws clean and free of dirt, gravel, grease, oil, and stains.
                                          • Scratches, dents and cupping are site related, not considered a manufactured defect.

Yes, Laminate is acceptable for installation in a kitchen or a powder room. It is recommend to put a throw rug by the sink because an excess water can damage wood. You will need to wipe up any water that sit on the floor as soon as possible. However a full bathroom that is showered in everyday may not be the best location for Laminate. Often there is too much water on the floor or humidity that can be absorbed into the flooring resulting in board edge cupping. Resilient and Tile floors are a better choice for these areas.

Despite today\'s advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor\'s finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and\/or pets are all factor that influence wear.
