Comments about Schön Engineered 5/16" x 4" Warm Cognac Curupay Engineered:
We purchased this flooring to replace old carpet that was way overdue for replacement. I love the color. It is much prettier in person and varies very nicely from a mahogany red to almost black.. I have gotten many compliments on it. The bad things are that it is quite thin and does scratch very easily. I did expect this with wood flooring anyway but it is very noticeable when it scratches and u can see the very light colored wood underneath. Would probably not go with the same color if I could do it twice, but all in all it is a beautiful floor.

Comments about Schön Engineered 5/16" x 4" Warm Cognac Curupay Engineered:
We were looking for something different and this product delivered, the color is fantastic with some pieces being red and fading to almost black. When installing as a do-it-yourself project I recommend staple with an air stapler instead of the big floor nailer I dinged up the edges a few times but that was due to the heavy nailer a stapler would have been better. There seems to be some pieces getting dimples on the surface, I think this is due to voids in the plywood below the finish. A little putty and stain fixes this with ease. Great floor, I get compliments all the time.

Comments about Schön Engineered 5/16" x 4" Warm Cognac Curupay Engineered:
We installed this flooring throughout the entire main floor of our house, approximately 1000 sq. ft., install was easy and the floor looks beautiful. However, I am already questioning the durability after only a few weeks of completing installation. We have noticed several scratches and small dent marks on our floor which is especially concerning because we do not wear shoes in our house or have small children that may cause these blemishes. Other than that, it is the look we wanted with this type of flooring and are pleased with the overall appearance. I would not recommend it to anyone with large pets or small children that is looking for a durable floor that can withstand heavy use and still look good.

Comments about Schön Engineered 5/16" x 4" Warm Cognac Curupay Engineered:
This floor, while beautiful, is not very durable. It does, indeed, scratch quite easily, as well as dents when impacted by even small, light objects.

We installed this ourselves, neither of us had ever done it before, the hardest part was ripping out the carpet and tack boards. Installing the wood floor was time consuming but not hard, and completely worth it

We live in the country on a farm and track in everything. It vacuums easily and no stored dirt in carpet. When it is clean, it is clean

As we remodel the house we are installing wood floors in the completed remodel areas. The hardest part is removing the tile and preping the concrete floor. We are installing the flooring on a bias (45 degrees) It looks attractive.

how many times, if any, can the 5/16"x4" warm cognac curupay engineered by Schon Engineered be sanded???1 answer
A:
To restore the original shine of this engineered floor a screen and re-coat may be needed for this low profile product. A professional sand and finish expert would have to make the determination on site on which sanding process will be needed or which can be done to restore the floors shine. Not all engineered floors can be refinished because of having a thin veneer layer.Q:

How long does this wood need to sit to climatize to the home before installation. I am building a new home in SC, where it is warm right now.1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Acclimate the new flooring in the areas to be installed to normal lived-in conditions while in the boxes. Length of time is not the determining factor. The goal is to reach a moisture equilibrium or balance between the new flooring with its surroundings before installation. This balance could be achieved in as little as 1 to 5 days, or longer for some exotic species. For best performance, condition the flooring to consistent indoor temperatures of 60°-80° F and indoor humidity levels of 30% - 50%. Very dry or humid regions usually require extended conditioning. Recommended acclimation levels maintained even after the installation will minimize board movement, excessive squeaks and gaps.Q:
is this a click on floor panels???1 answer
A:
No it is not.
