This product was definitely not a top of the line piece of wood. They were all very rough and needed sanded before I could paint them.

i have 4 inch moldings so rather than shorten the look of them more, I chose the white quarter round. It looks great and was easy to install. My installer simply covered the nail mark with white caulking and I'm not going to even have to paint them.
