Comments about Virginia Mill Works 3/4" x 4-3/4" Windsor Oak-Dark Handscraped:
We used this for our entire main level of our home. Living, foyer, kitchen, dining, bedrooms. The professional installer said it was one of the nicest and easiest floors he has installed.
I initially was not sure if I would like the handscraped, but having read all of the reviews, I figured that many people couldn't be too wrong? Well, they weren't. The floor is beautiful. Everyone who has entered my home (currently in construction) has commented on the floors - the cabinet guy, trim guy, plumber, etc. Even my husband said they were "amazing" - his usual enthusiam ends at "it's fine." I cannot wait to actually live in the home and have women visit to get a female's opinion. Regardless, I am thrilled.
I can't yet speak to durability. We have 2 large dogs, so I am hoping they do not destroy the floor. We plan to keep their nails trimmed short. We did do the "coin test" and this floor did better than the others I intentionally tried to scratch. We did not put an underlayment down other than felt paper. Several installers told us that we didn't need anything extra.
The folks at LL in Greenville were wonderful! Blake? actually was the one that picked my flooring to match my cabinet sample that I had brought into the store. I also noticed that my floors had gone on sale after I had purchased and had them delivered. I called LL and had an immediate credit posted to my card. We also had very little waste so we ended up with 300 SF left over. I took it back to the store, they unloaded it from the truck and I recieved another credit (minus the restocking fee).
Very happy.

This floor is easy to install , is durable and beautiful! Couldn't ask for a better wood product. We did most of our downstairs and we put the floor in ourselves to save money. We are so pleased with this floor. With a 30 year warranty on top of it... You can't beat it

Easy to install - used several boxes at a time to spread out the smaller pieces. We put this in the dining room, great room, foyer and hallway just recently. Not sure how it will hold up to two dogs running around but so far, so good.

This is a beautiful floor! We loved it so much that after we had finished the downstairs(kitchen, living room, hallway that we purchased more to do the master bedroom and stair landing upstairs. I love that it is not too shiny and it has enough variation to be very interesting. I also love that it is so solid. I am not a fan of the floating floors so this 3/4" oak that is nailed down is a perfect fit. Love, love, love it!

Color consistency is an issue with the over-all result of the floor looking darker than the showroom display - could also be the lighting in the showroom.

Comments about Virginia Mill Works 3/4" x 4-3/4" Windsor Oak-Dark Handscraped:
We are so happy with our flooring choice. LOVE the color variation and the shade of the finish. We wanted something in the "brown" family (no reds) and we go it. Our installer was impressed with the quality of the product and the ease of installation. Highly recommend. We used this in our family room, but will likely use this same flooring in the dining room, living room and on the upstairs landing once the hardwood stairs are installed.

The floor looks great, but can scratch easily. Its also can be a pain to clean in the recessed portions (end gaps, and handscraped grooves). Otherwise, I get a lot of comments on how nice it looks.

For general cleaning a swiffer type system works best. Not one that sprays the floor however. Lightly damp is fine but never soak or flood mop your floor. Do not use steam mops. Have a no shoes policy as much as possible. Use felt pads on all furniture. Sweep often.Q:
