Excellent tool at a very reasonable price. I am over half done on a 420 sq ft job without a single jam. The staples are all at the same depth and no adjustments are needed once you get the pressure set.

      • Engineered Hardwood

I have used this to install about 250' of 1/2" engineered hardwood so far and the only problem I have run into is that some (very few) staples will get bent over instead of driven all the way in, not often (I think there were 4 total in the second room I did) and I think it was a combination of lower air pressure before my compressor kicked on, the end of a sleeve of staples, and the fact that 1-1/2" staples are the max length. But a simple punch would get the staples far enough in that I could continue with the next run. Other than that, I have not had the gun jam or stick on me whatsoever and the cleat for butting up to the floor is great. I was able to put an entire bedroom down in a day by myself with this gun. I would buy this again if I needed and would recommend it to others. Worth the money and should get me through the rest of my 1200' of flooring for this house and maybe even the one after!

Originally we left the store with just our flooring, but after researching more into the installation (we did it ourselves) we quickly realized that this flooring stapler would be the best way to go. It was also recommended to us by the local lumber yard, even though it is a product they don't carry. I went back and got it the following weekend, and it was a great decision. Installation went very smooth, the stapler worked great!

I purchased this 4-in-1 18G Air Nailer/Stapler to complete several small stair landings. I did not have room to use a full size floor nailer. The gun worked great. Sure beats tring to hand nail or using a regular finish nailer and having all the exposed nails.

I am putting down a engineered hard wood floor 1/2 inch right now. It is the first time that I have done this kind of a job. I am not a beginner in home remodeling so I have worked with air tools before. This tool worked great right out of the box. There is a little pre assembly before you can use it but once that it done you are rocking and rolling. I have had no problems with the tool. Only a few missed positioning's of a staple or two from me not lining things up correctly. So always take care on where you line up the tool before you pull the trigger.

I come from an equipment backround You cant beat this deal This tool can be converted to a finish stapler after the job is done and you own it - a regular flooring nailer is going to cost you by the day to rent and you are under the gun to finish because time is money. If you buy a floorinbg nailer once the job is done then what With this you have a finish stapler which works well and it converts to a flooring stapler and you own it

                                  • Particleboard, Luan or Masonite: is not recommended, remove or cover with 3/8” plywood.
                                  • Minimum of 3/8˝CDX panel thickness is recommended when used as an underlayment over an existing subfloor.
                                  • Avoid pressure treated plywood for interior use. These can have elevated moisture or latent with rot resistant chemicals.

Yes teh 4 in 1 will work fine. Recommend using a 18 gauge 1/4" crown 1-1/2" long. Thank you for your inquiry

I am going to be purchasing your Tobacco Road Acacia engineered floor for basement but have some other 1/2 engineered wood for an office I will be updating. That wood requires 1/2" crowned 1.5" staples. Can this gun be used for both woods?

It is designed for engineered flooring. The Norge 18 Gauge cleat nailer is a better choice. See nailer recommendations for the specific floor found in the manufacturer instructions.

I am installing Shaw Epic 3/8" Engineered Flooring and the instructions say that 1" staples are to be used for the installation and they also say that the staples are to be shot thru the groove side only, not the tongue side. Question is this--can the Norge 4 in 1 Floor Stapler be used for this application?

Unfortunately not, I would recommend our 18 ga cleat nailer for this 3/4"product.

Can this be used for finished hardwood at the begining of the laying of wood and at the end where a staple gun using a mallet can not reach because of the wall. We have been using drills and hammer and nails to nail into the wood and would like something stronger and that will complete the task faster to do this work.

                                  Not recommended for that use.

When nailing your first and last rows where a nailer won't fit because of the wall or cabinets, drill and hand nail as many boards as you can through the tongue at a 45 degree angle. When you don't have room for that pre-drill with 3mm bit (3/32") to prevent finish damage/cracking and face nail with 5d-8d galvanized, screw shank, ring shank or regular finish nails. Countersink with a nail punch and fill holes with a matching filler.

Not recommended for solid bamboo products. Our Norge 18ga. will work on this flooring or an equivalent nailer that shoots 1/8 gauge cleats
