Q:Can I use Dream Home Kensington Manor summer retreat in my sunroom. Their is no heat and has concrete floor?
A:All of our vinyl, wood, cork and laminate flooring products are recommended for interior use only and designed to be installed in a climate controlled environment.
Q:Can laminate floor with underlayment be installed on stairs?
A:Generally you would cut off the existing overlapping stair nose and then install laminate nosing and flooring. However, laminate flooring and nosing isn't a great idea for stairs, fine for one or two steps but we caution the use of it on an entire staircase. People do it but it can be unsafe. Check your local building codes. Hardwood flooring and nosing works great, when laminate IS used you must fully glue will 100% urethane adhesive without the use of padding, padding attached laminate must have paddling scraped off.
Q:what is the width of the planks of the Kensington summer retreat flooring? sku 10029600. Thanks
A:The Width is: 143mm or 5.72".
Q:Want to install laminate in my upstairs bedrooms ... but concered about the noise below. Do any of the laminates have padding to help "dull" the noise when floor is being walked on, etc?
A:This product question would be better answered by our Sales Department, they are more familiar with all of our flooring products and can better assist you with your questions.
Q:Can this flooring be GLUED down ??
A:This product is only to be installed as a floating floor, no glue or nails required. Thank you for your inquiry
Q:Is your laminate ok for bathrooms? Ive heard HDF or MDF would swell in that setting?
A:Yes, laminate is acceptable for installation in a powder room. It is recommend to put a throw rug by the sink because an excess water can damage the boards. You will need to wipe up any water that sits on the floor as soon as possible. However a full bathroom that is showered in everyday may not be the best location for laminate. Often there is too much water on the floor or humidity that can be absorbed into the flooring resulting in board edge swelling. Resilient and Tile floors are a better choice for these areas. Thank you for your inquiry
Q:How long are the Laminate planks? I am considering them for wainscoting on a wall for a Cigar Lounge.
A:The boards are 47.83 inches long. Thank you for your inquiry
Q:What is the Janka rating on this flooring?
A:Janka rating does not apply to laminate flooring. This product has a AC-rating 3. I will send the information about ac rating directly to your email. Thank you for your inquiry
Q:Can this flooring be installed on concrete with a radiant heat system embedded? If so what is the maximum continuous temperature rating for this product?
A:Yes you can!
Q:Can these planks be laid at 90 degrees without the use of a transition strip? I have a hallway which would look best running longways, that enters into a room in which the long direction is the other way. I would like to not have a threshold/transition strip. Will the joints work that way?
A:No you would need a transition strip. Thank you for your inquiry
