BELLAWOOD- 1/2" x 3-1/4" Brazilian Koa Prefinished Engineered Flooring- 100 Year Warranty!

We Redefined Quality, Again. We set the quality standard by introducing a groundbreaking finish so tough it allowed us to offer one of the first 50 year warranties. Others followed. So, we raised the bar again. Now Bellawood is backed by a Certified 100 Year Transferable Warranty that covers you and generations to come.

The distinctive orange coloring and deep brown striping make Brazilian Koa one of the most unique and exotic species available on the market today. And its durability is simply outstanding, resulting in a "not-so-everyday" floor that will stand up year after year to life's everyday demands.
This product is proudly finished in the USA.

Bellawood Engineered Hardwood Floors feature a multi-ply cross-layered wood core and a solid 3 mm thick veneer(dry-sawn top layer). This construction design offers more dimensional stability for wide planks, making them less susceptible to the climatic effects of moisture or dryness.

- Easy installation directly on slab, subfloor, linoleum, or tile.
- Better resistance to humidity and moisture changes (Virtually eliminates buckling and twisting)
- Length: 1-7'- (350mm-2130mm) Average Length: 750mm (29-1/2")

- More environmentally responsible use of woods.

Best of all, Bellawood Engineered Hardwood Floors feature a Lifetime Structural Warranty and 100 Year Bellawood Finish Warranty!

  • Q:

can this be installed on plywood with radiant heat piping below the plywood?

  • Q:

We had Brazilian Koa installed in our previous home, and it was beautiful! Everyone wanted to know what type of wood it was. We loved it, except for one thing. I understand that you cannot use room size rugs that partially cover the floor, because the light that shines in changes the colors (which is part of the beauty), but if it is covered with anything, rugs, large baskets, etc., the light cannot get to that portion. When you move the rug or whatever was covering the floor, there is a definite difference between the bare floor and the covered portions. Is there anything you can do to prevent this problem?

Unfortunately the natural patina process cannot be prevented.
The flooring will only get "so dark" otherwise it would turn black.
      Limit light exposure whenever possible.
All wood species can change color over time due to oxidation or when exposed to light whether it is the sun or light bulbs. In some species, the change can be more dramatic and may darken in color over time, while others tend to lighten. Currently there is no known value set for Patina or color change of a species so contractors and or customers should be aware of this normal condition. The patina process is unrelated to the urethane finishes.
The best recommendation is to wait as long as you can before putting rugs down (usually the patina process takes 3 - 6 months) or simply move area rugs occasionally to allow light to get to all areas. The wood only changes so much and when covered areas are exposed to light they will eventually "catch up"!

  • Q:

What the difference between hard wood and bellawood-engineered-hardwood?
Asked on 2/18/2015 by Willie from United States

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

Generally hardwood is made from a solid piece of wood whereas Engineered flooring is made by actually adhering real hardwood to multiple layers of plywood or Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) core and can be refinished. How many times will depend on the thickness of the veneer or top wear layer and finding someone knowledgeable enough to handle the work. Engineered floors are perfect for radiant heat and below grade installations.
