We have many durable floors, however a 4mm or thicker vinyl would likely be better for your situation.

  • Q:

We recently purchased 32 boxes. To acclimate the wood to our home, my husband and I have differing opinions. Does it need to be in a single layer and have a space between it and the next box? Or can it be stacked 3-4 boxes high and have a space between it and the next stack? Single boxes are quite space consuming. Thanks,
    Betty

      A:

Do not store directly on bare concrete. Cartons must be placed flat inside the home, in a dry place, close to the center of the installation area as possible, provide air flow around cartons. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from air vents and exterior walls. You can stack the boxes 4 or 5 high but no space between is required.

All of our laminates, "composite" wood and engineered products are all CARB Phase II compliant and is stated so on the outside packaging. Starting January 1, 2009, California began regulating the formaldehyde emissions from composite wood products (particleboard, MDF, and hardwood plywood) sold in the state or used to make finished goods offered for sale in the state of California. The Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM) is known as the "CARB rule." All products containing composite wood products must comply with this regulation.

Wood floors like furniture will scratch and dent if not properly protected. It is recommended to use felt furniture pads under the furniture legs. Pet nails should be kept trimmed and sharp objects (including high heels) kept off the floor. Often scratches can be adequately repaired using liquid scratch covers. Dents and nicks can be filled using wood floor repair kits available at your local home store. If your floor is severely damaged please consult a professional about refinishing or an individual board replacement may be all that’s needed. Scuffs can often be removed by rubbing the spot with mineral spirits on a cloth rag. Thank you for your inquiry.
