Q:I have a summer cottage in Michigan I would like to install this floor. I do not keep it heated in the Winter. Is there a possibility the floor may delaminate due to the temperature extremes and changes in humidity? I can't use a solid as I have to float the floor due to the existing particle board subfloor.
A:All of our flooring products are recommended for interior use only and designed to be installed in climate controlled environment.
Q:How long are the boards?
A:Random 13 3/4" - 47 1/4". Thank you for your inquiry
Q:Is this high gloss? I'm concerned about footprints.
A:This product question would be better answered by our Sales Department, they are more familiar with all of our flooring products and can better assist you with your questions.
Q:Oak or Maple which is more durable?
A:I think Oak is the better choice.
Q:Can existing linoleum stay in place as the underlayment for the floating click floor?
A:The existing linoleum can stay in place but it is not a proper supporting underlaymen.
Q:Why cant this be glued down? How would it behave?
A:Manufacture recommends no glue or nails and to only float this product. We do offer other engineer floors that can be glued down. Please call our Sales Dept. @ (800) 476-0007 for pricing and availability. Thank you for your inquiry.
Q:How soon after the floor is installed can furniture be placed on it?
A:This is a floating floor so furniture can be placed on floor immediately after installation.
Q:What is the thickness of the top/wear layer?
A:The veneer thickness in1.6mm.
Q:what flooring would be best for a house with peeing puppies and all the neighborhood kids running through it? Can you reccommend something durable and inexpensive?
A:We have many durable floors, however a 4mm or thicker vinyl would likely be better for your situation.
Q:We recently purchased 32 boxes. To acclimate the wood to our home, my husband and I have differing opinions. Does it need to be in a single layer and have a space between it and the next box? Or can it be stacked 3-4 boxes high and have a space between it and the next stack? Single boxes are quite space consuming. Thanks,
A:Do not store directly on bare concrete. Cartons must be placed flat inside the home, in a dry place, close to the center of the installation area as possible, provide air flow around cartons. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from air vents and exterior walls. You can stack the boxes 4 or 5 high but no space between is required.
