We did our own installation. Our son does remodel work and is very knowledgeable. He did most of the work. [...]This is a quality, lifetime investment.

Q:
We currently have a tile floor in the kitchen, and my wife would like this replaced with hardwood. The kitchen adjoins a hallway that has hardwood. The transition between the tile and hardwood is a flush surface. The tile is 5/16 " thick. If I go with 5/16 " hardwood, the widest board I can get is 3". My wife wants 5", but to do this, I must go with a larger thickness. Can I use the reducer to go from 3/4" down to 5/16" for the kitchen/hallway transition without creating a tripping hazard ?1 answer
A:
If installed correctly; yes you can.Q:
Is it possible to get a reducer longer than 6.5 feet. I have a space that is 7.5 feet in length.1 answer
A:
It may be possible. Please contact our Sales department at 1-800-HARDWOOD.
