Nice floor, easy to install
Service and delivery comments:
These were shipped to the local store on a pallet and strapped with topside down on the pallet, so there were nicks and scrapes on the top pieces of wood.

We installed this product in the playroom, using the ecosilent foam underlayment. I was hoping it would be a hard floor (easy clean) that would have sound deadening properties, because it's a large room with a vaulted ceiling. Maybe it helped a bit. Playrooms are loud, I guess :).
I love this floor! It looks elegant. I think it's better than hardwood because it gives a similar impression, but it's warmer in bare feet and more comfortable to walk on. Also, it is smooth, but NOT slippery. This would be great for families with toddlers or older people who are concerned about falling. It seems to be holding up to traffic from my large dogs as well.
We ordered 10% extra as recommended. I guess my husband is a genius, or something, because we only had 3' of scrap left over. He does have ALOT of experience with construction and renovation. It was so easy to install that my young teen helped. We installed this in the playroom and spare bedroom in two days. I plan to use the extra to replace the floor in my kitchen.
A couple of the planks did not lay perfectly flat at the edges. If I had it to do over, I would have thrown these out, because the rest of the seams are completely invisible.
We have 4 dogs and I was worried about scratches. We installed a year ago in our laundry room and kitchen-family. Looks great get lots of compliments and no scratches from the dogs.

I have a cat that likes to scratch at the floor. Will this flooring fall apart or is it sealed against this type of use?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Cork flooring can be very resilient and holds up well, however, this depends on the cat in question. In my experience some can destroy many a piece of furniture and may be able to damage this flooring. However it seems unlikely because of the 7 coats of urethane sealer on the cork.Q:
will this cork flooring work well in bathrooms?1 answer

Not recommended. Generally fine in Half baths but not in Full baths because there's too much water and humidity. Use throw rugs by sinks or toilets.Q:

I am interested in a cork floor for a basement level bedroom. What maintenance is required for a cork floor? Will I have to reseal it regularly? Do I just sweep it with a vacuum regularly? Can it be damp mopped?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
No resealing is necessary. For general cleaning a swiffer type system works best. Not one that sprays the floor however. Lightly damp is fine but never soak or flood mop your floor. Do not use steam mops. Have a no shoes policy as much as possible. Use felt pads on all furniture. Sweep often.
