Are the planks tongue and groove?1 answer
A:
Yes, all these planks would be tongue and grooveQ:
can this product be used on walls, I love it, is it tongue and groove?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
While we do not have any manufacturer's specifications on how to do ceiling or wall installations, we have had customers install on ceilings using random length Tongue and Groove flooring. One method used is to ring shank or screw plywood first on the rafters (1/2"" minimum) and then fasten flooring to plywood. Softer woods, lower profile (thinner), and engineered flooring would be easier to to nail over your head. Fastening can be done with finish nailers or hand nailing.Q:
Do you think since we have carpet that after we take the carpet off do you think we could put the wood floor down ? and do you think since we have two dogs that their paws would damage the wood floor?1 answer
A:
I would be glad to help you with this question.Q:
Will the 3/8" stair nose be available soon? If not, is there a similar color (or one that will blend) in another wood that I can order in the stair nose?1 answer
A:
At this time we do not have a firm estimated time of arrival for the Purple Heart 3/8" stair nose. Using an un-finished Red Oak or Maple stair nose and staining to match the floor may be your best alternative at this time. Feel fre to contact our product specialists at 1-800-476-0007 with any additional questions. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
I have read that the wood retains it's purple color and doesn't fade to brown if there is a UV blocker in the finish that is used. Can you tell me if there's a UV blocker in this finish?1 answer
A:
Unfortunately there is not.Q:

Does the Bellawood variety of Purple Heart floor boards change color over time once installed or does it maintain a stability in color once the initial fading from brown to the purple/brown occurs?1 answer
A:
All wood species can change color over time due to oxidation or when exposed to light. In some species, the change can be more dramatic and may darken in color over time, while others tend to lighten. Currently there is no known value set for Patina or color change of a species so contractors and or customers should be aware of this normal condition. The patina process is unrelated to the urethane finishes. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
