Comments about R.L. Colston 3/4" x 4-1/4" White Oak:
This was installed in both our kitchen and living room because the laminate we had would not hold up to our 7 children. This was time consuming to install and finish but was well worth the effort. The quality was well beyond my expectation with less than 5% waste. The width was a great choice and the white oak is less "oaky" as my wife put it. That is it has a better and straighter grain than the red oak. So if you are on the fence don't be this you wont regret.

Comments about R.L. Colston 3/4" x 4-1/4" White Oak:
Very easy to install and looks wonderful. We built a single step
with it from the kitchen to the
great room. It was everything we
had wanted and perhaps even better.

Comments about R.L. Colston 3/4" x 4-1/4" White Oak:
This product contains an extraordinary amount of small pieces, making it difficult to install in large rooms.
In addittion, Lumber Liquidators shorted us 120 sf of product. Our experience with this vendor has been terrible.

I'm putting down 4-1/4" white oak flooring over advantech sub-floor . My question is should I nail it or staple it? I was told staples would hold better. thx for your help. Jason1 answer
A:
I believe that staples or cleat nails will both work with this quality sub-floor.Q:
does square edge mean that? or is this tongue-and-groove1 answer
A:
Square edge means that the top edges of the plank will be square with no bevel. All of our solid wood flooring products will have a tongue and groove connection.Q:
Which is installed first, the base board or the solid wood unfinished flooring?1 answer
A:
The solid wood unfinished flooring should be installed before the base board molding.
