Comments about Virginia Mill Works 1/2" x 5" Tobacco Road Handscraped:
This floor is gorgeous. We have had it now for two years (and with three young boys at home) and still looks brand new! I cannot believe how well it has worn. Easy to keep clean and beautiful, and I cannot say enough about how gorgeous it is and how well it works in our home! Everyone is floored (pun intended!) when they see it in our home. :) We did not install ourselves, rather used installer recommended by Lumber Liquidators.

Comments about Virginia Mill Works 1/2" x 5" Tobacco Road Handscraped:
This floor is beautiful! Although I was looking for something slightly less expensive, I kept coming back to this floor. I love the variation in the planks from light blonde to dark walnut in tone. The floor looks beautiful and all the workman who have entered the house to work on other items during the remodel have exclaimed on its beauty. It does show dust, which in a rural desert area is always a problem, but I just run a dust mop over it daily and it looks new again. I have not experienced any of the issues with scratching others have mentioned in the month I've had it installed, even with workmen's tools dropped on the floor. I love the floor so much I went back twice to install it in two more rooms.

Comments about Virginia Mill Works 1/2" x 5" Tobacco Road Handscraped:
We installed this flooring in our 215 sq ft living room. We used the bellawood premium underlayment and installed with a pneumatic stapler. It took us a full weekend to do, but we have never installed a floor before so take that as you may. The layer that forms the tongue runs perpendicular to the length of the boards, and was very splintery, but overall the installation was not difficult.
The product is beautiful! We chose it because the combination of the tobacco road colors and the handscraped finish is just stunning. It is very likely that we will purchase more of this flooring to do the rest of the first floor in our home.
Service and delivery comments:
We picked our flooring up at the store. Both Brandon and Kyle were very helpful and knowledgable about their products.

Beautiful floor, but it scratches very easily. Even normal dining chairs and bar stools with felt pads on the feet scratch the finish when moved, with no weight on them.

Our entire home, except bathrooms is covered with this flooring. We installed it upstairs this year after installing it downstairs in 2012. Everyone who visits comments on its beauty. We had it professionally installed and the installers commented how easy it was to put down.

Comments about Virginia Mill Works 1/2" x 5" Tobacco Road Handscraped:
Kaleb and Sabestian in Bakersfield Lumber Liquidator were most helpful from beginning to the end of the project. The professional installer, Mario Castro and his team members, did an excellent job. I would recommend them to anyone. Bravo!
Though easily scratches, Pledge orange oil takes care of it right away!!!

Q:
We are installing this engineered hardwood as a floating floor, is it necessary to glue the tongue and groove?1 answer
A:
Yes it is!Q:
We are considering putting engineered handscraped in a cabin.1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Wood flooring is a dynamic material subject to changes in dimension as a result of changes in humidity in the surrounding environment. It is recommended that the rooms that will have refinished wood installed be climate controlled with temperatures of 50 to 80 degrees F., preferably 65 to 75 degrees F. humidity of 35% to 55% maintained. In addition, the rooms should not be closed off from a normal air flow. Therefore with prefinished flooring, you will experience problems in a non-environmentally controlled area. Our most stable flooring is our engineered, bamboo, and laminate. They too recommend climate control in their expressed warranty's.Q:
How do you clean this floor, any special cleaner1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
For general cleaning a swiffer type system works best. Not one that sprays the floor however. Lightly damp is fine but never soak or flood mop your floor. Do not use steam mops. Have a no shoes policy as much as possible. Use felt pads on all furniture. Sweep often.Q:
Hello: What is the best way to clean this type of floor? Thanks.1 answer
A:
We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.Q:
What can be done to prevent this floor from scratching?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
All natural wood products can scratch or dent. A good finish can help but even a premium finish like this may. While our finishes are some of the best in the business they will scratch as will any. If all precautions are taken ie, "Have a no shoes policy as much as possible. Use felt pads on all furniture. Sweep often." then there isn't a problem, however when you factor in pets, shoes with debris in treads, etc., no finish will completely withstand certain stresses.Q:
