I put this down in both bathrooms and in my den. Each room instantly looked bigger and more inviting. The den previously had carpet (bad mistake on my part). Now it is open, clean and looks very updated. I am very pleased with Lumber Liquidators and the installation crew. They worked with me to make sure I had just the right product and trim that I needed. They did a great job in a short time and cleaned up as they went so there were never any issues. Highly recommend their services.

We hired a highly experienced professional installer to handle our job. It looks nice on the floor, but a number our tiles ended up separating. I'm extremely disappointed with the end result. If you decide to purchase this product I would suggest that you use a tile adhesive to avoid this problem. It's a tricky product to work with.

          • Separates After Time

          Best Uses

We bought this product to put over ceramic tile in three bathrooms. We really like how this looks in the bathrooms, how it is non slip and much warmer to the touch than the ceramic, but:

We keep having issues with this coming apart and the seams opening up, then you can see the black lip down between them.

I have kept putting back together, and just by the little bit of pressure you put on it by walking on it, it separates over and over again.

We had a contractor install this, so we assume it was done right. But maybe not. Who knows.

All I know is it was very expensive flooring and we are certainly unsatisfied with it. Now we are stuck with it.

I wish this came in a lighter colored option. I love the look of the Venetian Cream pattern, however, it was too dark for my small kitchen.

We use this flooring in our office and adjacent laundry room. Very durable, thick, easy DIY. No worry if water leak. Cant see scratches, hard to make them in the first place. No seams or grout lines, makes a wonderful floor.

Dislike - there was not enough variance in the pattern of the tiles, ran into repeat tiles frequently but put them in places unseen as best we could...making sure no repeat or next to tiles occurring... took the most time. Still the best option rather then tile with grout, etc. Would do again.

We live on a lake and installed this in the family room which you have to walk through to get to a bathroom. The texture makes it non-slip and the tans, browns, and grays don't show the dirt.

                              • Q:

Can you put this over an existing sheet vinyl floor in a kitchen? The existing vinyl had to be glued down because of the radiant heat in the floor. (Older home with hot water pipes going throughout concrete floor.) Will the heat make the seams separate?

                                  A:

You can install over flat, level, vinyl. Spongy vinyls or heavily embossed vinyl should be removed.

                                  RADIANT HEAT

TRANQUILITY Resilient Flooring is suitable for installation over Radiant heating systems provided that the heating element is not in direct contact with the Resilient.
New heating systems should be running two weeks before installation to remove residual moisture. Lower temperature of heating system to 60°F for one week prior to installation.

Gradually increase temperature in increments of 10° per day to avoid “shock” to resilient flooring. Surface temperature should not exceed or sustain 85°F

Remove the toilet and install up to flange with a 3/16- to 1/4 inch expansion gap, be certain the toilet will seat on the flange and wax ring as the floor height will change. A new wax toilet ring will likely be needed. Replace the toilet and use a flexible silicone sealer around the bottom of the toilet base.

Solid vinyl will be subject to the effects of temperature. If proper heat are not maintained your flooring may shift, shrink, expand, gap or buckle. Thank you for your inquiry.

Is there a recommended pattern when installing the tiles? Would you lay each rectangle side by side or in a brick pattern? Would one way be easier than the other?

TRANQUILITY Resilient Flooring can be maintained by using a dry swiffer mop or cleaned with resilient floor cleaners. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Use plywood, luan, paneling, or masonite when moving furniture or appliances.
Use coasters or proper floor protectors under the legs of furniture.

Start by placing 1⁄4” spacers between the short and long side of the planks and the wall. Remove spacers after flooring is completed.
