The veneer refers to the top layer of wood on an engineered hardwood floor. The hardwood thickness found on engineered floors typically ranges from 0.6mm to 4.5mm.

Float - Leaving a floor unsecured to the subfloor. This is a simple method and can usually be installed by the average Joe or Jane. Glue - This installation can get a bit sticky (literally). Depending on your skill level, you might want to consult a professional for this one. Nail or Staple - Everyone knows how to use a hammer. But on rare occasions (mostly with harder exotic woods) a drill is needed to allow for a nail.
