Nice product. great for rentals.
Great product, really reduces the noise & is great to walk on.
I installed this on my basement floor in the family room, which is cement. I then laid the 6MM Norway Oak Dream Home Utopia Laminate floor and it made the floor very quiet to walk on. I would recommend this product.
I bought a clearance laminate, and paid nearly as much for this underlayment as the floor. But it has done an excellent job of reducing noise and flex. I put the laminate down over an old, non-tounge and groove strip floor that was seriously warped and cupped. The Quiet Walk bridged it all with no problem.
simple to use just cut and use tape to hold together
Great Product
Just roll it out, cut to length , and then tape seams. Couldn't any easier.
Also purchased the cork flooring. Love the look but wish I had been advised of the wait time involved with the sealant. Even with 3 coats and waiting a full 7 days, product still seems like it will not wear well.
cushions your steps
This prioduct has increased the apperance and value of our home
Under laminate floor. Excellent product.
I used as an underlayment for a laminent basement floor. Easy to use and does make it quieter and warmer.
down sie is cost a little pricy.

This was so easy to use and is outstanding quality. We put it under Bamboo in one bedroom (so far) All our neighbors couldn't believe how quiet it was to walk on. One neighbor paid to have laminate floors put in thru out their house and are very unhappy about how noisy it is. Do yourself a favor and use Quiet Walk Underlayment whenever possible!
It's really easy to use. I'm sure it will help the durability of the flooring. We will use it again.
I have never done anything like this before. This product made it EASY. This part of the process took about 20 minutes! The floor is wonderful, partly because of this underlayment.
I put this underlayment in a mobile home, so far the kitchen is done but I am putting it throughout. The floor is quite, and any odd bumps or uneven spots (common in a mobile) you would never know were there. perfect product for the application, worth the extra $
Best underlayment that I have ever walked upon. I love the quiet, simplist quaility of the floor. The floor should be tranversed by the population of the entire planet.
CLEAN SURFACE IS IMPORTANT
The underlayment went great. The schon quick click floors ,however, are terrible. We have had them in for two weeks now and they are getting worse. There are cracks and spaces beginning to develop everywhere. I've used more wood filler than a sloppy cabinet guy. [...].
This item was easy to install and eliminates noise issues.
Used this under a floating laminate floor. Took about 10 minutes to roll it out, cut to size, tape the seams and get to work on the main part of the project. It's just 1 piece - no pad plus vapor barrier to play with - so install was a snap. It also feels like it gives some nice softness under the laminate floor. Worth the extra money over the bargain priced stuff.
Easy to cut and layout on the floor great pad

I was careless enough to finish my dining room with hardwood and not using this product. The thumbing is very pronounced. After that I have decided to install this product for other rooms. And it is SO good. I really can't compare how nice the sound is and how quiet it is. Very very good stuff.

I like this underlayment. Easy to lay, cut and join seams. Keeps floor warm and quiet. Two thumbs up. Superior to today's cheap extremely thin foams.
We've never had hardwood floors before so we aren't 100% sure what they are supposed to sound like when you walk on them. We do hear creaks and some noise when we walk on the floors but I guess some of that is normal. You would never be able to sneak up on someone walking on the wood floors.
My husband had absolutely no experience in laying wood floors or the underlayment and he had no trouble at all.
This was installed in a small yoga studio under a glued bamboo floor bought at [...], which was not guarnteed by the manufacturer, but it is great, and the job was done by a professional, we shall see if the floor heat works, that is next. But the quiet walk is fine.
Wow what a difference it makes walking of the laminate with this underlay. Makes my feet feel happy when walking barefoot. And Was easy to install to boot
I wish I had taken pictures of before and after because the finished project is so beautiful and the acustics are great!

I used the product under an engineered floor. Worked great!

I consider myself something of a handyman but definately no professional. This was simplicity to put down - cuts very easily with a sharp knife. The sound proofing quality is as good as it gets and this product certainly helps with floors that have uneven spots. I highly recommend it!!

I used this on a concrete floor.

I have bought two other underlayment products from a major home improvement center, and this product is equal to their more expensive product.

A friend installed an engineered hardwood floating floor, also purchased at Lumber Liquidators, in my home. I decided to go ahead and spend the money for the Quiet Walk, which was a little difficult because of the price difference. But we just taped the rolls of Quiet Walk together with painters tape and turned the insulation side down for floating floors and that was it. Floor sounds like it is nailed down. It also eases the requirement for perfectly level floors a bit. I wouldn't use the cheap stuff now that I know. Get the good stuff. The floor is too expensive an investment to go cheap on the padding.

Easy to install, reduces noise, no hollow sound.

Easy to use. Rolls are sized accurately and consistently. Performs as advertised.

We installed Quiet Walk under a carbonized bamboo floor that was click and lock &.5" wide planks. My biggest concern was that there would be a hollow sound when we walked on it, especially since we were installing it on a slab. My concern proved to be unwarranted.

Used in a bedroom that is above a garage. Added insulation. Makes walking on floor "softer" than other laminate floors. Considerably reduced the noise.

The Quiet Walk is the best product if you are installing laminate or engineered flooring. It is exactly what it says "Quite Walk". I would buy it again in my next project of laying laminate or engineered floor. It's the "mate: that goes with laminate or engineered flooring.
Vapor barrier included with underlayment should help prevent water damage and at the same time the underlayment does reduce if not eliminate noise generated by the flooring. Definitely worth the investment, particularly for basement flooring installs. I used the product in my basement and in my bedroom.

This worked just as described. It was supper easy to install , and reduces that "hollow" sound you get from most laminates.

All my experance with "floating floors" were not so good because they sounded like you were walking on loose plywood. They had the beauty of wood floors but not the feel! The guys at Lumber Liquidators assured me that if I spent a few extra dollars on the Quiet Walk underlayment, that it would deliver that solid feel to the floor. They were right. The underlyment did the trick. My new cherry floors are beautiful and solid sounding. I could not be more pleased.
Very nice product. I am glad I went with the better padding... it really made a difference.. worth the couple dollars extra!!!!

This is definately worth its cost! So far, we have installed it under 6mm laminate flooring on an upstairs level of our home. It truely eliminates the noise of the old subflooring creaks. It also provides a cushion feel when you walk. People are surprised that it is a comfortable floor to walk on. The only negative about it, is that it is difficult to cut with a razor knife. I suggest using scisors, but its rather thick.

Good quality underlay. much easier than separate layers

The product was very easy to install. Just not sure if it was really necessary to use instead of the plain felt.
Great product. Well worth the extra expense, especially if installing a 6mm laminate floor.
First time user and install of laminate, but I think having the two (pad and moisture barrier) in one SO much easier!!

EXCELLENT ON FEEL AND SOUND

The underlayment was very easy to install. A very sharp utility knife was needed to cut the underlayment to size. We can feel a real difference in using the underlayment between our concrete basement floor and the new cork floor.

This is the first time I used this product and I liked it! You only have to use one product under the laminate instead of putting down two. The only thing I didn't like is that it was thin in spots and it was a little hard to cut. But worth it in the end!

I've used several other underlayments in the past - this product exceeds them all. It's crucial to have a solid, high quality product. Remember, you get what you pay for!
(Why spend all the money, time and energy to not spend the extra $ on quality.)
Used it in a den under engineered oak. Worked well.

I had an professional install the wood floor in my home and was very pleased I got this underlayment. He said it was the best out there!

I price something similar at our local store and it was a little more than 10% higher. I actually traveled about 50 miles to buy this floor and underlayment instead of a local national discount flooring company. The total savings and warranty upgrade made it worth it.

I have a cement slab subfloor under my engineered wood floor and Quite Walk Underlayment helps keep my floor from feeling cold like when I had the lenoleum tile floor. I wasn't sure at first on how to install, but the instructions are very simple and clear... not much thought needed. The only noise I get from my floor is solid wood, no hollow spots or ecko. I will always use this underlayment in the future.
The only thing that might be considered a con is that the matterial it's made of makes it a little hard to cut. Though, it's a very small set back. Be patient...it's worth it!
Tip: It's more easily cut with a very sharp scissors rather than a utility knife.
I regret not using your product thrughout the
house, rather than just one room. The installation went extremely well and we are totally7 satisfied and will be using you again.

I upgraded from foam to this material after reading comments on this site and others. People mentioned that it was a lot quieter than foam and that's what I wanted. Another added benefit is that this includes an underlayment layer on the bottom. My first impression was that it wasn't as thick as I expected, maybe even less than the foam padding. Also, it does require some very sharp scissors or knife to cut. Do yourself a favor and get some heavy duty scissors. Once I got it down, it has reduced the noise level but not a lot. It's double the cost of the foam padding but it appears to be an improvement worth paying for.
No complaints; we were halfway thru installing our floor when we realized we put the plastic side down on our slab concrete assuming it was a vapor shield instead of installing it correctly.

The floor underlayment is well worth its cost. I would definitely use it again, and expect to install more hardwood floors in my home in the future, using Lumber Liquiders.

The underlayment is easy to install. Softens the noise associated with hardwood floors. Keeps the floor warmer in the winter
It's very easy to install. Our grandson 7 years old could do it.
This is only the second time I've installed laminate flooring. The first time, I used the least expensive underlayment I could find. I did okay, but with time, I know I should have used a better product.
This time, I selected a better underlayment. The floor has been installed for a month now and I notice the difference. Not only does it feel better when I walk on it...it's absolutely silent. So far, so good. I suspect it will remain a good choice for years to come.
Very easy to install, especially when you're trying to cover over 2 type of surfaces, cement and older hardwood.
[...] excellant product and wonder ful job on installation

We just love it and it was easy to install and holds up real well with our dog, easy to maintain and adds a wonderful look to any room.WE had a few of pieces that was chipped or the tongue and groove on some pieces was broken but we just set them pieces aside and will use them as ends or something when we proceed into the living room floor next.Overall we love the look and the simpleness of the product.
Easy to lie down and simply place the panels over it.
very easy to install
Quick & easy installation
Was a breeze to install
After having a friend help me with a different room I decided to tackle this project alone. We used a cheaper padding for that room and you can feel it. This padding is much less expensive [...] has more padding too. I have and continue to highly recommend this product as well as Lumber Liquidators. I was given great advice and the floor looks great.
its a great product would highly recommend this to anyone, its easy to use and installs in no time at all.
