Hard to work with. Does not keep our Brazilian teak/chestnut in place during installation, you have to peg the flooring in place until the glue dries. Our bucket had some uneven stuff in the bucket so there was some waste as well.

When I received the product it was applied to the prepped cement floor which I installed bamboo flooring over it. The application was smooth and the flooring went in without a hitch.
Service was quick and friendly..will come back again.

We use the 980 on all of our hardwood installs unless we need vapor protection then we use the 990. Great product.[@]

We used this product for a glue-down installation of an engineered hardwood floor. We glued down the first half of the floor with a more expensive glue from another store. When we ran out of that, we came across the Mapei glue. It was much less expensive, but did just as good of a job. The only "con" was that it is a very thick glue, which made it a little bit more difficult to spread.

easy to spread at first but will harden up within 15 minutes once you spread it. once you open the container, you better hurry (dont take a break) bc it will dry up. keep going until you run out of glue bc you cant save the left over.

This glue goes on a little easier than the Mapei 990. Not sure how they compare for overall performance with Bamboo - time will tell!
I didn't have any issues buying the products, and the prices are good. But we were really disappointed to find that we would be stuck with all the leftover flooring. I had apparently misread the exchange policy. We had hoped to trade in the last 3 boxes on the same type flooring in another color for a different room. Now we're not sure whether we even want to use wood flooring in the kitchen.

refloored my down stairs whith bamboo. your product work great.my last 10 gals. were old,lumpy,hard too spread. Returnd one of them for a new one only too have second bucket same as first. What a dissapointment!

You use a special grout type tool to apply it and you have to spread some and have 30 minutes to lay that part of your floor. Two people working together would be good.

A little messy until you figure out how to use but cleanup is easy until set. (dont pour a big glob or you will have to push too much with the trowel pour in smaller spread out amounts to cover a 2.5foot by the length of room strip you will have plenty of working time keep your hands clean

This product was hard to use - requires Mineral sperits to clean up - but I was told [...]to never use mineral sperits on any floor. My contractor stated there are much better adheasives available even some water soluable for easy clean up

980 bonded way better than ECO 972 and spread more evenly (per instructions). ECO 972 didn't bond well on the end pieces which tended to flare up and required weights for up to one week. Some of these areas have permanant hollow spots. 980 did not require weights and immediately bonded in all areas. Once open, the can did not preserve beyond a few days. Very difficult to clean tools due to high bonding capacity.
