Comments about Parabond 4600 Resilient Glue:

I floored my kitchen with resilient vinyl, and it looks very nice. The sales guy told me to use this with my peel and stick planks, but after I'd finished the job I read in a DIY book that using glue with the self adhesive vinyl would ruin the bond. I haven't noticed any of that and it looks wonderful.

In one place I accidentally left a screw head sticking up and I carefully peeled up the corner of the plank, removed the screw, filled the hole, added more glue, and placed a towel with a cinder block overnight on the repair. It looks wonderful, and no longer is a problem, and I look forward to easy repairs when necessary.

Sorry no pictures this time, while laying the glue I was a little preoccupied with cutting the planks to the proper sizes.

By Ron the builderVerified Purchaser from Wilkes Barre, PA on 4/5/2010
Cons:
Dry time slow down

Comments about Parabond 4600 Resilient Glue:

This product took too long to get tacky and added extra time to the install. The room was heated at 70 degrees. Because of this the install took 2 hours longer waiting for the glue to cure.

Comments about Parabond 4600 Resilient Glue:

I'm satisfied.........I used this product (700 sq.ft.)in my Living room and family room. Floors look great but this job calls for a helper and it is time consuming waiting on the glue adhesive to dry or become tacky before being able apply the self adhesive planks. Clean up was very easy. This took us about a day and a half to complete. The only thing I wish is that there wer so type of transittion pieces sold like you would use if it were laminate. Everyone has complemented on how great it looks so I would say it was worth it. Will attach some photos soon.

Comments about Parabond 4600 Resilient Glue:

I purchased this glue so that I could put laminate flooring in my mobile home. The glue was amazing, once it was allowed to dry for the allotted time the tile stuck completly and would not come up. It was exactly what i was hoping for.

No where near the area coverage and more
By Home installer from michigan on 3/16/2010
Pros:
It works
Cons:
Less coverage than claim, Longer to dry than claim
Bottom Line:

Comments about Parabond 4600 Resilient Glue:

They say I should get between 100-250 sq foot of coverage. I applied using correct trowel size & shape over non-porus surface. In reality - the gallon only covered about 80 sq ft (and that was stretching it). They're out of their mind to think that you'd get 250!

As for drying - if it comes off on your fingers, it's still wet. If you install while it's wet, you'll end up with glue coming up between the planks - and more importantly, the planks will shift on you and even MORE important - the ends will not adhere properly. I ended up applying it and then waiting almost 2 hours for it to tack up. The planks then stick WONDERFULLY, don't move, and better yet, the ends stick and don't rise up.

My recommendation - let it dry until it's tacky. If you don't, you're going to struggle. Also, buy what you need based on about 80 sq ft a gallon. check on the return policy just in case you get better coverage than I did.

I am very happy & please w/ the product.
