We have a floor vent in our dining room, right at the end of the table where a chair sits. In the past it had been a standard metal vent, and everytime someone sat at that end of the table the vent would get bent, or it would be a trip hazard. It was just in the way. When refinishing the floors, we saw the flush mount floor vents at Lumber Liquidators and bought two of them! They look great, are sturdy, and our dining room trip hazard is gone. They also get lots of comments from visitors.

We put this grill in front of the patio door where it is being stepped on frequently. It is working as expected and we would recommend it for anyone with the situation that we had. An old register was there for a SGD and when replaced with a patio door the register was in the way of traffic. this worked to ease our problem.

A great product but does require a planer or some sanding to slim down to floor size.

I really like the look of the grill being flush with the floor. It gives a "professional" look to the finish of the floors.
