Cork is the light, thick, elastic outer bark of an oak tree that grows in the Mediterranean area. The bark naturally splits every 9 to 15 years and can be safely harvested causing no harm to the tree. Cork is naturally hypoallergenic and resistant to mold and mildew.

Use a small teethed trowel to spread the glue on the subfloor, install the cork over wet glue. Use a lightweight roller to make sure the whole surface of the sheet is in contact with glue. Let dry overnight. Apply glue on top of cork and lay engineered floor. Perfect results every time.

Seems to reduce noise transmission. I used this under our new laminate floors. It's very easy to work with and cut to size. Sometimes you can accidentally rip a piece for it is fairly fragile.
