Just lay it out on the floor, cut it with a little over hang around the wall, and if needed make sure to overlap and tape the sheeting on the floor. It's very easy to do. When you finish laying the floor, just trim around the edge at the wall. That's all.

We installed this over concrete, which I was told we were supposed to do. While we are just finishing up the install, it does make me feel good to know moisture is not going to get into the laminate.. It also adds a little more "cushion" to the floor, if that makes sense. I would recommend it.

This was ok, but it is like 10 feet wide by 30 feet! Kind of rediculous. I expected something 3-5 feet wide, and it was hard to fit to the room approprietely. You have to use it so good luck! It is nice and thick though and recommended for floors with concrete or a sub-basement.

Installed this our home in one hallway and 3 bedrooms - around 650 sq ft total. Installation was a bit more difficult than I would have liked - it absolutely will not go together like the instructions/illustrations show. Finally figured out the trick to make it work after a couple of hours of trying.
The finished product is great however - really like the look, and the sound is dampened much better than a much more expensive laminate we installed in another part of the house. All in all I'm please with the result - just wish it was a little easier to install.

it's a vapor barrier!! The only thing is with this product that it said use the tape to seal joints . There was no built in tape or a roll with it. No big deal I use a weather guard tape anyway on top of what USUALLY come equipped with on the rolls. Great price and nice material though.

The Natural Bamboo laminate was install by professionals quick and neat. The floor is light and needs to be cleaned frequantly. But, it gives a very earthy and contemporary look!
After I bought the floor, the price went down whole 30% in three weeks. I wonder,why. Should I look for some surprise in my floor future?

We not only bought the sheeting but, also the laminate flooring in "antique cherry". The sheeting went down with a snap (per installer) and the flooring looks great with our furniture and our doggie loves it!! We were concerned that the flooring would be noisy when walking on it but we don't notice it at all! Looking forward to our next room. Hope you enjoy the pic.

Excellent product, lays down very easy. The thickness is just right to prevent the plastic from bunching up under the padding & laminate flooring. I only taped down the corner I was starting to lay padding & flooring over, the rest I just let float on the concrete floor so that the wrinkles worked themselves out as the flooring install progressed.
Highly recommended, plus at 300 sqft per roll, it goes a lot farther than other 100 sqft rolls from the "big box" stores.

They loved that the laminate had padding attached to it, to help keep down noise transmissions. The matching base trim is the way to go when installing this particular floor. We purchased Nirvana Dream Home laminate flooring (French oak),poly sheeting, thresholds and the install kit at our local store. We were 20 plus year old carpeting that was damaged by a leaky hot water heater.
Store staff was very knowledgeable and helpful with our selection. The look of the three rooms and foyer are dramatically improved. You have to look hard to see that the floor is not hardwood.
The install was done by a close friend who does home improvement and had never installed a laminate floor before. He had no trouble with the install, but he would recommend using a chop saw for the cuts.
We are looking forward to enjoying the floor for many years to come.

Feels a little weird reviewing something as boring as this poly sheeting, but Lumber Liquidators asked me to, so I'll oblige. Best thing about this particular sheeting is that it runs about 10' x 30'. This is especially helpful for big, long rooms - I installed laminate in a room measuring 14' x 26', which means I only had one seam in the moisture barrier (i.e., this sheeting cut down to 10' x 26', and another sheeting cut 4' x 26'). This is my first floor, but I figure the fewer seams in your moisture barrier, the better.
Other than that, it's just your standard poly sheeting moisture barrier. Easy to cut, easy to use.

This floor turned out beautifully. It was a little more difficult to install than originally assumed, however, the room had many turns and doorways to work around. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the look of the floor. It turned out wonderfully and I really couldn't beat the price anywhere. It was cheaper than carpet! This is my third purchase from Lumber Liquidators and I would recommend them to anyone!

This is a good priced product for the purpose. It is easy to install if you just duct tape it together. It doesn't slide around while using. We put it under the noise reducer since our laminate didn't come with foam backing. I couldn't find anything cheaper and so far, so good. We won't know until we get a good downpour if the product really works!

I loved the color and apperance that it gives to my rooms. The installation was easy and realtively quick to do. I would recommend working with a buddy and purchasing a small jigsaw. Also knee pads a ruber hammer and a special crowbar for laminate installations is a must. I did about 300 square feet on my own in about 3 days. It would have been much faster with another person there. Nonetheless, the end result is great. Everyone that has seen the finished rooms has had nothing but great comments. [...]

I didn't do this myself but had a someone else install my floors. I watched while he put the blue 6mm poly and the floors down. I would recomend the poly and 12mm laminate (summer retreat) to anyone that wants laminate floors. They are so easy to take care of and look just beautiful. I am very happy with my purchase. The 6mil poly was suggested by the gentleman at Lumber Liquidators. It seemed to work as advertised. This was my first laminate floor project(18'x24'family room) so following the LumLiq guy's advice I rolled down the poly over the concrete slab and then my African Mahogany laminate over it. The floor looks amazing!! The poly seemed to stand up well to the abuse from the floor installation. So thank you very much to Lumber Liquidators and all of the great friendly help I got there and thanks to the 6Mil Poly guys too.

I have recently purchased the Poly Sheeting along with the laminate hardwood flooring and am very happy with the results. I have to confess, I hired a gentlemen to install the flooring and he said that it was very easy to work with and I am very happy with the results. This is a small older rental home that had very sad carpeting and vinyl down and the improvement is just amazing. The hardwood laminate I purchased also from Lumber Liquidator and it already had the padding attached so we just needed the moisture barrier. This laminate flooring was put in all rooms and totally opens up the areas and gives a uniform look throughout. I only wish there was room to post a few more pictures to give the total new look which is amazing!!
I ordered the moisture barrier and laminate flooring at the same time and they both came within a week. The sales staff was very helpful on the phone and in the store. When I arrived, they promptly loaded the flooring in my Armada and I was on my way. This flooring was on a clearance and I felt it was very nicely priced for the quality I received. I would definitely shop with Lumber Liquidators again!!

We replaced stained, dirty 20 year old carpeting with floating laminate flooring. 4We had a young friend help us install the flooring in all three bedrooms. We have radiant heating in the house, and once the carpet was out and the flooring in place, the radiant heat warmed the rooms much more effectively. We turned down the thermostats, thus saving energy costs as well as having beautiful new wood grain flooring. We added a few area rugs for accent (and to reduce slipping for our three dogs), and settled in to our new rooms.

I'm not sure if it has any benefit on very old cured concrete, but, after putting this much money and work into a project, it is cheap peace-of-mind adding only 1-2% to total cost of project.

The poly sheeting was a benefit to the installation based on the age of the house and the base floor that it was covering. This was a 1950's built house with a re-poured concrete floor (which was not level in any room). After leveling the areas, we used the polysheeting and noticed the benefit right then. We realized with all of the leveling that any moisture in that process would be retained away for the flooring going on top of it. One point I would make is that the crease seams don't lay down very well at installation, but caused no ill effects during installation.

I went in the store after reading enough about flooring to think I knew what I needed but the guy at the store saved me money by pointing out I was getting too much product for my room. He saved me around a hundered bucks!!! My 10 year old daughter and I put the floor down in just under 7 hours. I had her tap the pieces together after she watched me for a little while. We hung out and did 15 boxes in an afternoon. It was very easy to do. when we were done she asked about doing it again and if she could do more than me next time!

My son-in-law installed the flooring through out our home. It sure changed the look of our home from carpet. if i had known what this looked like I would have done it years ago. The one think you have to be careful of is some spots are slippery so we put some throw rugs down which helped the look also.

the roll has to be completely undone. With the laminate floors with built in pads, this product moves around a great deal. It would be nice to have some way of tacking it down so it won't slide around.
The guys running my store were very nice to deal with. They helped me load my truck and they were gracious when I returned defective product. I will be doing more business here, specifically because of them.

Best Improvement I have ever made. The old carpet out the door and my new floor is great. Looks great, so far cleans up easily and no show of wear. I love it.
I did about 550 sq feet. Family room, office, hallways, and one guest bathroom. If your going to do it, do it right. I removed the base board and replaced with new. By doing this, it looked like a professional did the installing. Six months of shopping around, Lumber Liquidators came up with the best price. Check them out before you go to the big box stores.

Definitely use painters tape, to tape product to walls. Makes install easier.
Also product should be brown/tan in color not blue. Had a small gap area near staircase and it was very obvious because of the blue color of product. Had to use a razor blade to cut/dig product out of small gap so it would not show.

This product works fine. It goes under the flooring product, so once it's down, you never see it again. It was easy to put down. It was the easiest part of the project.

It was fairly easy to put down and looks good.
We still have a crawler in the house, and it shows finger smudges and dust fairly easily b/c of the finish.
The best thing we've found to clean it with is diluted vinegar.
I would buy it again.

I was told to buy this to install as a water barrier. It is a waste of money if your house is settled in and has had no previous water problems. It was simply a waste of time and effort. I put it down only because I had already bought it, but if water was to get through, this would only be able to protect a small portion of the flooring aka not a realistic water barrier. I do however use the excess for paint projects and it is great for that, but so would any plastic sheet.

The room I did over was on a slab with old parquet flooring down on it. I used the poly sheeting like suggested to protect against moisture but, I also felt is would act as a barrier as well and prevent any pet odors that may come up during the humid summers since I have pets. So I'm hoping the poly sheeting has a multi purpose. A little slippery to use but nice and wide, putting the foam layer over the sheeting was probably the hardest part of all, but I got used to working with it and everything turned out great.

Size just right ot cover the average size room. Don't fix to the floor until you've laid the flooring over it. Just do the first wall. Much easier to work with this way.

We places this on the floor first and then the foam. It covered the whole area and then some so we have enough to do almost another room. I would be causios about walking on it though it is very slippery. You could use it as a slip-n-slide if you wet it down. Ha Ha Really I loved it. It keeps my floors warm, and I get cold feet easily. But not now.

The product itself is fine. However, make sure you stretch it out as you lay it. If it's not extremely (emphasize extremely) taut, the floor will be squishy laying upon it and you'll hear crinkling with every step if your house is quiet (e.g., at nighttime). I asked if there were any installation tips at the time of purchase, I wish someone had told me about the squishies.
