Looks great, easy to install, keep in mind it is not easy work, it is hard work, but it is easy to install. Installation takes time and you cant rush thru it at all. take your time and it is no problem. The ONLY con, I would have is that it does dent and scratch easy. However, I did drop a chair on the floor and it dented it a little-so my fault. Overall we are extremly happy. I would shy away if you have Big Dogs or lots of kids. WE have one small dog and one kid, so the wear is minimal/next to nothing. The floors are great and we are glad we did them, but again, they are softer than other hardwoods.

I used the bamboo in the spare bedroom/office of my townhouse. Found the pieces within the lot purchased to be very consistent (I used 11 boxes). However it varied quite a bit from a lot I had used previously in another bedroom so be careful if you buy at different times for rooms that connect. The new batch was darker and had more noticeable grain. I think you would find this to be true of any wood product so it's not specific to bamboo or to Morning Star.
Because of the consistency of the lot, I had very little scrap. Maybe 5%.
Floors are beautiful and make the entire room appear much brighter.

I love the look of it, but definitly would not go with this product again. Too many scracthes on the floor now. My kid could drop a toy, and it scratches. Definitly not something you want if you have pets either.

Floor was installed a week ago. Decided to let the pros do it and was glad that I did. Came out great and they finished our living room of 350sq/ft in under a day. Happy with the results. This is our first experience with wood flooring of any kind and feels good under foot. I am finding however that the floor dents rather easily. Our 2 and 4 year old boys have already put the floor to the test with several drops of matchbox cars and each time there has been a drop we have found a dent. But all in all I am happy with the floor so far.

This is our 2nd LL purchase as well as our 2nd time purchasing the Morning star brand of bamboo floors. We love it. We installed the first floor since it was on the 2nd floor and this one we had installed by LL installation crew since we were unfamiliar with glue down. The floor is gorgeous, opened up an already large room. Feels like we live in a beautiful tropical hotel! Its a stunner!

This floor looks awesome. I had it put down in a condo in Fla and it changed the look of the place totally! It is easy to clean and very hard. I have bulldogs so that's important to me! It is also a sustainable product which gives you a feel good buzz as well. Very modern and I get tons of compliments on it.

I used this product in two teenage bedrooms. The product installation was fairly easy. It is slightly thinner than normal 3/4" solid hardwood and the tongue to surface distance is slightly different but I still installed it with a bostitch flooring stapler, without modification. I did not have a shoe or adapter to protect prefinished flooring but this did not prove an issue. I had a few tongues split after stapling, but the tongue did not fully separate and so I didn't remove these boards. The tongue splitting seemed somewhat random and unassociated with the pressure used with the stapler. Four years out the floors have held up well. The finish itself is pretty durable but the floors are somewhat soft and will dent if you drag something heavy enough on them. I definitely wouldn't recommend these for a very high traffic area but they are suitable for bedrooms, home office, etc. Also use a chair mat. They are extremely vulnerable to pinholing from soil/sand embedded in the wheels of office chairs.

My wife and I installed this in our teenage daughter's bedroom by stapling it over plywood. We were both beginners at any kind of construction. It took us a long time, but we learned a lot and purchased a lot of tools. The boards were straight and there was very little waste, probably just a little less than the 5% suggested on the website. The result is a beautiful floor. It is easy to clean and always looks great. My daughter has been using the room for several months now. The floor gets only light use and the only scratches so far are from were I dragged the floor stapler over a board and incorrectly moved a dresser. We are really happy with the floor.

I have had this product about 2 years. I had it professionally installed because of time. Contractor did say was a little difficult to install. We wanted wood floors but cost of most was not an option and this is a great alternative. Will scratch easy so use pads under chairs. We have this product in the kitchen, living room, dining room and office so it gets alot of traffic and has held up well. I am very happy with it. We have the light floor with cherry cabinets and looks wonderful. I am now back looking for flooring for a rental house.

We put it in our living room/dining room. It scratches pretty easily but they aren't horribly visible. I recommend getting the felt stuff for your furniture & expect installation to take longer than they quote. [...]it's very pretty & we like it in our home.

The final look turned out great! But the last box of wood we had was a different from the original boxes and it was all warped...took it back and they did give us another box, but it was almost all warped as well. Overall, it turned out great used the pieces that were different in the hallway so you weren't able to tell as much.

This is a tongue and grove system. All of the wood is the same length. Cutting either removes a tongue or a grove. To stablize the floor properly, a new grove needs to be notched. We found this to be time consuming using a hand held Dremmel cutter. We created a jig clamped to a rotary saw, which required two people to run. In hind sight we realized that the easiest and quickest approach would be to have a table saw to re-notch. Don't do a floow without it.

The wood wears well. It is not the hardest wood and dents easily. But in the light color the imperfecdtions hardly show.

It is had to find wood filler that matches the woods color, so keep any nailing to a minimum, and only at the edges.

Would recommend this product highly. We love the finished look.

Love the look and finish. A little tricky to install uniformly. Some warped/bowed pieces in the batch. Other pieces vary in size, only 1/64th or so, but enough to show up. Especially if two or more of a smaller or larger size are installed adjacent to one another. Just be aware that joints will not be absolutely perfect every time and you'll have an otherwise beautiful floor.

Color and pattern were very uniform until the last 4 boxes were manufactured on another date. These boxes were many shades lighter than the first 30 boxes which had the same manufacturing date. Be sure your entire project consist of product with the same manufacturing date.

The Horizontal Natural Bamboo looks outstanding. It is easy to cut and install. We are installing it throughout the upper two levels of our home. We setup a ping pong table on it and have been playing as if we were on a gym floor, which it resembles. But we do have to be careful. We accidentally let our dogs walk on it and they scratched it pretty easily.

We installed the bamboo throughout the house (living room, kitchen, den, and bedrooms). We installed the bamboo as a replacement for our carpet due to allergy reasons.
Pros- Easily locked together and installation was easy for a first time rookie. Although we did purchase many books and did plenty of research before undertaking the project. I little planning ahead goes a long way.
Cons – it was difficult to find wood filler for the top nailed holes that match the bamboo natural color. We tested many colors and decided with the "Natural" color filler but it is not a "perfect" match it does look good. It would be nice if there were a filler color for the natural bamboo.
We followed all the advice we read and unpacked all of the 67 boxes of wood and crisscross stacked the wood to "air the wood". The smell of the fresh wood when you take it out of the shrink wrap is very strong and the wood was very moist. Definitely want to have good ventilation when you do this if anyone is sensitive to the strong chemical smell. We let our wood dry/air for approximately a week before we even started the installation.
Over all we are very happy with the outcome of the installation. We only have pictures of the living room since all the other rooms we put the furniture back in right away. Everyone was just much too excited and happy with the outcome to wait for pictures.

Boards from the same lot fit together with ease, but I had to buy more boxes (with a different date code) when I did the rest of my house. When I tried to mate the new boards with the old ones (everything else was the same), I had to hammer on them to get them to come together (and some just wouldn't, leaving some gaps that I had to caulk). That was a very frustrating experience.

My company recently finished an install of bamboo which ended up being close to 2500 sq. ft. I was a little bit weary of installing bamboo since we have not installed this particular brand and species. However I was pleasantly surprised that this was very easy to install and is very durable and easy to clean. There was tile grout,concrete,paint,drywall mud, and other things that were spilled on it and they all came off without any trouble what-so-ever. Very easy to install with the pre-finished tong and groove setup. This type of flooring does dent easy however. Also, I did notice that in the heat of summer here in TN, the bamboo once installed started to cup side to side, which looked interesting, and I was told it was due to the way the bamboo was flattened to turn it into a wood plank. With the type of finish on this flooring, you have to watch what you clean it with, as with many other finishes. Lemon juice or soap and water are best. Very nice floor and looks great.

If you are using nails to attach the flooring, be sure to hit the nail in the exact corner between the finish and the tounge. It would help to have a flooring specific nail gun but it can be done with a standard finish nailer like I used.

I installed this in the kitchen, now moving through the hallway to the bedroom. In the kitchen may have been a mistake, it is not particularly durable and dents really, really easily. the price is right and the install was simple, I just hope it holds up.

Get a professional to install when the application is glue down on a slab. Nail down with a nail gun most do-it-yourselfers could handle.

Use a dozzens 10lbs weights to get an nice bond

We had the floor professionally installed. The floor clicked together perfectly, and the color of all cases were very close. The surface is harder than I thought it would be. Looks great. Treat with care though, as any other wood.

This floor looks great and we love it. It's not super durable, but we know that going into it. My friend and I tackled 225 square feet of this flooring in the kitchen. It tooks over 2 full days, but we're super fussy. The house is old, which presented it's own issues, but this floor can be unforgiving. Due to the very light color, if the boards aren't perfectly lined up, any tiny imperfection will show. It's really important to get all the seams perfectly lined up. We didn't like that all the boards are the same length. It causes more waste especially if you're dealing with doorway thesholds on the perimeter. Overall its a great product, but we're not novices and it presented some unique challenges. Use fine tooth saw blades as well.

installed on concrete and noticed quite a big color difference in one box. stands out now but because wood darkens with exposure to light I'm sure it will even out as elsewhere in my house. slight warping made it necessary to weight it down in spots. overall , love it, have had it for 7 yrs in other parts of the house and it wears well. slight nicks add character.

I had this installed in my living room, dining room, and a newly constructed sunroom. I live with 10 parrots and two chihuahuas, so my floors get a lot of abuse. So far, I have had no problems with scratches or dings and they clean up very easily. I could not be happier with this flooring and will be installing a couple of hundred more square feet in a hallway and master bedroom.

I hired out the installation rather than doing it myself. It's glued directly to a concrete slab with Bostik's Best Adhesive. There were no problems with fumes or off-gassing once the floor was in place.

Excellent looks, good finish, but dings and dents very easily. I had this installed in my Kitchen. Even rolling an appliance causes it to leave marks. My opinion: not good for kithens or places where you are likely to drop things. Office, Living, dinning room might be other probable use.
Recommendation: Careful where you use it.
