The flooring is quick and easy to install. I just wish they would have a mix of lengths with in the box.

we used this product in the livingroom, hall, and kitchen. it's just beautiful love the coloring. the only thing i've found that i don't like is spotting. we have several animals and where they drop water it will show till you wipe it up. but it is very durable as we have a german short hair and her claws have not marked the floor at all and she runs through the house. i would use this floor again.

Flooring installed in a photo studio. Flooring looks really great on the floor. Flooring is fairly easy to install. After sitting open for 7 days in the area where flooring was to be installed, a lot of the boards were warped. However, they easily bent to lock in the clicks format. Using a "Persuader" with a wood block helped with the final locking of the boards. After installing, no evidence of warping and floor looks fantastic.
The first two rows are difficult because the ends are simply grooved instead of having a click lock. Lack of an end locking joint allows the boards to move until you get to the third row. That is the biggest con to this flooring.

I had never attempted to install any kind of wood floor and the engineered bamboo was outstanding and very easy to install! I did opt to not use butt joints in the field portion of the floor. Instead I used a fine cutting carbode saw blade with 1/8" kurf and made my own tongue and groove ends to match the factory supplied ends. My joints aren't invisible, but barely noticeable. Worth the extra time and effort, I think. I did use a high quality wood glue for end joints, but left all side and end wall spacing and length joints free for expansion. So far, so good. I'll do this again, without hesitation.

went down easy, better have a table saw, mitre saw, and if need be a saw to raise door jambs
flooring came in fast, accesories did not, had to order transition molding in other than click lock material

We love the look of it. Our friend, a professional, installed it on our bedroom as well as the closets and the work went quickly.

I'm a first time hardwood floor installer, and couldn't be more happy with the ease of installation and look of the finished product.
Tools I used:
Chop Saw with Furniture/Finish blade - for precise angled and straight cuts across the grain
Handheld Circular Saw - for cuts (ripping) with the grain, longways on the boards. For 1st and last rows.
Jig Saw with Laminate Floor blade - for custom cuts around small obsticales
Dead Blow Hammer, Tapping Block, and Pull Bar - Be careful with the pull bar. Sometimes you have to hit it pretty hard to get the boards to connect tightly and you can leave marks on the floor if you're not careful.
Wood glue - used on 1st and last rows to glue narrower cut boards to full width boards.
Brad Nailer for trim
Angle measure for accurate measurements on angles. Used for setting angle on chop saw.
Other lessons learned
* Make sure you put spacers on the long and short sides around the edge. We didn't put them on the short edge initially and when using the pull bar / tapping block to lock the narrow edge of the boards together, the whole field was shifting across the floor. We ended up pulling up a bunch of rows and redoing them with the spacers.
* As I said above, be careful with the pull bar, it's easy to dent the floor if you hit it too hard or at the wrong angle.
* We made a lot of measurements of the room and snapped a chalk line where we wanted the boards to line up down a long hallway we had. The chalk line extended into the living room where we were starting. We then measued off this line to the wall where the 1st row would be placed and ripped the 1st boards longwise, so that the 1st row would present a parallel face to the chalk line and be an even 1/2 inch off the wall on the other side.
* Make sure you put the shiny side of the underlayment facing up
It's only been a week since we installed the floor, but so far haven't noticed and scratches or dents in the floor (and we have a 3 year old running around).

entire 12*14 ft room completed in two days. Day one was spent laying down the underlayment and flooring and day two for triming the floor out.

Due to water damage in my condo, new flooring was needed. I checked out tile. A friend suggested a "floating floor". I checked it out and decided on bamboo. The pros who installed it charged far less than a glue-down floor. The new floor brightened the space and felt healthier. However, my heart broke when I saw scratches from the sofa. Felt pads were installed, but the damage was done.
