The product is awesome. It looks great, it was easy to install and it seems to be quite durable. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that all of the pieces are the same length and only 4ft so it meant a whole lot more actual pieces to lay.

We had to completely rebuild our house after a fire. Instead of going with carpet or wood laminate, we decided to go with this Supreme Bamboo. I had always wanted a bamboo floor and the price was right. Doing it ourselves saved us thousands of dollars and this floor was easy for my husband and a couple of his friends to install.

The floors look fabulous and cleaning is a dream. With seven kids, I wanted something that could stand up to heavy wear and tear. It's six months later and the floors still look wonderful.

I don't know if I can answer the pros and cons until I have a solid 6 months with the floors. But our house is not painted and still in boxes, and every person that walks in makes a "wow" and says "cool, this is bamboo? It looks great!" And the conversation goes too, "I love dark floors, but this blonde color is awesome, it makes the house look so big." (its only 1,078sqft.) We put bamboo in 750 of it.

I love the look and the feel of bamboo. I have small rooms in my house and it really brightened them up and they are very very easy to clean. The one thing that I do not like about them is that I have 2 dogs. Both not very big one 5 lbs and one 30 lbs. they have left claw marks across my bedroom floor just from walking across it.

We used the product in our living room after having Berber carpet in there. We couldn't wait to get rid of that carpet. The color is wonderful, we already have a few scratches from our dog, but that's to be expected. We love it and would recommend it!

Husband and I installed this product in two bedrooms. It went in in about 5 hours per room once all the prep stuff was done. I LOVE the look of the product. It is softer than I thought it would be. The kids have scratched it in a couple places all ready. One other thought...I would give it a full 7 days to acclimate to your house. We put one room after 5 days, and one after 7 days, and found that the first room warped slightly. You can't see it but you can feel it when vacuuming.

My husband and I LOVE bamboo. We had it in our old house and wanted it again. In our old home, the installation was nail in. Here in Alabama, we are on a concrete slab and had to glue it in. YUCK! What a messy, time consuming project. And if you get adhesive on the flooring - forget about it... You can remove it all day long, but, it leaves a dull spot on the floor board and it looks "dirty". This flooring also had a HUGE color variation from box to box, so, the floor looks "choppy". Best to pay a little more and buy better bamboo. We also bought the Silk Road bamboo and it is PERFECT.

I got the [$] horizontal natural bamboo for my 3 bedrooms upstairs. The cost was very reasonable however I do noticed that some color variation with darker wood. I hired a professional to tackle this 600sq ft job. It took them 2 days to complete. The finish product looked clean and bright. The only problem that I found after one month is that the gap b/n boards got bigger. I already had the bamboo in my house for 1 week prior to installation.

We installed this flooring about two years ago in two guest bedrooms. It has held up well and looks beautiful. We did scratch it in one area during the first few weeks (wheels from a trundle bed). We've been more careful about the wheels and haven't had any more bad scratches. The floor never looks dirty and is very easy to clean. We have high humidity here, but it's no problem for the floor.

Any wood flooring is best and easiest to install when it is attached to a plywood floor. This floor was the easiest floor I have ever installed, but it was nailed to a plywood floor. The key is to begin at the furthest point from the room entrance, re-use as many shorter lengths as possible, and have the correct tools...and the job is simple! Be aware that dropping anything on the floor, that is harder than the bamboo, will put a dent in the floor. Using this product in a high traffic-high use area may not be a good idea.

We purchased a student-occupied apartment complex near a state university which had been terribly neglected.

The apartments have been renewed and are fresher and cleaner than before.

After replacing subfloors in some of the units, we decided to replaced the worn out carpets with the bamboo flooring. We have used the bamboo in 5 apartments and so far, the apartments rent quickly due to the look!

Our only problem, is when advertising an apartment that still had carpeting in good condition; we could lease it until all the other bamboo floored apartment had been leased. Leaving just the one with carpeting open for lease, it finally had a tenant. We realized after that problem, that replacing all the carpeting is the way to go.

My wife and I had a professional carpenter install the bamboo wood flooring. It went in very easily. We debated whether to install bamboo but are glad that we did. I would recommend this product to be installed anyplace in the house except perhaps for the kitchen. Great product!

I put this down in our main bathroom with laundry. It is easy to clean and beautiful. Where it butts up to the tub, I sealed the cut edges with clear water-resistant sealant and so far it seems impervious to water (and we are not too careful about it). We like it so much we are extending it into our bedroom.

I purchased this product for my family room which is roughly a little under 400 sq feet. I already have bamboo flooring in my kitchen by another manufacturer, but it looks exactly the same. I paid almost a whole dollar or more LESS for this flooring from LL than the competitor I used for the kitchen. I have done laminate from the Utopia laminate collection for the upstairs by myself (34 yr old female) for my son and daughter's rooms and main hallway. I, with the help of my friend were able to install this on 7/13/2009 and started at 12 noon and we finished around 11pm. These floors are gorgeous!!! The brightness is absolutely fantastic and there were NO warped boards that we came across out of a lot of 17, 6 of which I still have left over and plan to use to do my master bedroom. I could not believe how easily this floor went down. My friend did the cuts and I did the nailing. There were no splintering of the wood and along the edges were we couldn't use the floor nailer, we used the brad nailer which worked flawlessly. I'm so pleased with the ease of this product I would buy it again in a heartbeat! Thanks LL for providing once again a fantastic product! I've included pics of the process and the finished floor, as I have yet to do the base moulding. I would highly recommend this product to anyone considering installing bamboo. The price was great. My only concern was that it seems to perhaps scratch somewhat easily, but because of the lightness, you really can't tell. I moved my couch which has some staples in the bottom and it made small scratches, but overall, the flooring is superb!

This product is great for the price! We recently restored all(but one)of the original oak floors in my 100 year old house... not being able to save the kitchen floor, we chose Bamboo.... it installed with ease and looks amazing! We do notice scratches from our 50pd Golden's nails. Only in one spot... the high wear spot around the island when he's running through(at full speed)to go POTTIE...OUTSIDE... POTTIE!! And its really not that noticeable.... but stands out when mopping. We liked the bamboo floor so much.... we decided to do the half bath too!!

The floor went in perfectly. Out of 11 boxes I only had about 5 boards that I couldn't put down as a whole. I ended up using them for starter or ending pieces. I am really happy with this product overall but I didn't check the sheen on the boards. I mixed color from 3 boxes as instructed and now it's down I see that one box in the whole job was totally flat finished, no sheen at all. It stands out amongst the others and reflects light differently and looks very odd and zebra striped.
They won't tell me how to fix it, just keep saying that variations are normal.
So, buyer beware, look before you install.

Husband and I installed ourselves- not too hard, but we recommend doing a lot of research if doing yourself! We laid about 500 square feet in 6 days. The color is beautiful- ours has a lot of color variation which we love. It does scratch and dent easily. Between dogs and kids, the floors are taking a beating. It is hard to see unless you are at the right angle, but still disappointing to see how easily they dent and scratch. We put the floors in all the bedrooms and the living room. Overall, the price is great and we do love the look. If we were to be in this house for a long time, we would make a different choice; but for a starter home it's a great choice!

Having bamboo flooring is great. If you are concerned about denting or scratching. Well, that can happen with the bamboo, but the flooring is very durable. Yes, you might see dents or some scratching but very little. I like the worn look and the natural grass of bamboo, it's very durable.

I had never seen a bamboo floor done and it came out better than my wildest expectations!! Not one piece of wood was warped or unusable. The price was exceptional. Not the easiest job in the world but totally worth it! Be sure you always let natural/real wood breathe out of the carton in the environment it will be in for 3-5 days! We did not know that, and had to reschedule installers that got us started! This was the first time we have ever installed flooring. It went great. This bamboo is super easy to install and looks so nice when it's done. We chose the "natural" color and it makes the space look so much larger than the carpet did.
I was expecting the flooring to scratch REALLY easily since it is in the lower price range of flooring. I'm excited to say it's not as bad as I thought. It will dent if you drop something on it, but our dog hasn't made one mark in it yet. Even if you do get scratches/dents the grain seems to hide any imperfections very well.

The bamboo turned out really well in the living area. I am a teacher and myself and another teacher help with the construction of a house which the students build. The students chose to do bamboo flooring this year and the students helped to install it. It would have been nice to have different size lengths to vary a little more but the end result was very nice. We used hardwood maple last year from lumber liquidators and it was gorgeous. I think lumber liquidators does a great job.

I love the look of the natural bamboo. It really lights up an otherwise dark room and makes it look like grown ups live there. (We had an unfinished concrete slab in there after we pulled up the nasty, animal-soiled carpet.) You have to be careful with bamboo in high traffic areas. If you bring pebbles in on your boot cleats you're going to scratch it. Four dogs play fighting on the stuff isn't good for it either.

The entire main level of my home is covered with natural bamboo with the exception of the bathroom. The light color adds light to the room when the blonds are opened on a sunny day. The tone adds a welcome warmth throughout the house. The flooring acts as a tremendous insulating factor in both keeping it cool in the summer and retaining the heat in winter. The finish makes it a snap to clean.

Floor looks beautiful. Very light color, very smooth soft and warm. Perect for my meditation room. A little soft, a dropped a few things on the floor and it dented pretty easily although you really cant see it unless you look very close. Several pieces had a pretty big color variation

This flooring is high quality. It does need to be glued which makes it more difficult to install than a click lock floor. However, it is well worth the effort. An avid do-it-yourselfer or professional would handle installation with more ease than a person with less flooring experience. Goodby carpet, good buy beautiful bamboo floor!

Nailing is very easy. Do not try to nail the planks adjoining the wall you are approaching, just glue them down. Cut last planks longitudinally under about 30 grades to glue last planks closer to the wall or even to the existing molding.

The floor turned out great. One thing to keep in mind ... if you're putting down on a subfloor, be sure the floor is free of all staples or nails from previous carpet or floor. It's also worth it to get an upgraded pad (not the 15lb paper pad). It cost extra but it's definitly worth it - especially if you have an older floor.

I staggered my boards a third of the length so the seems matched up every third board. Requires a little bit of math but looks professionally installed.

I rented the bostitch flooring stapler from a local hardware chain and purchased the air compressor. If you have more then 650 square feet to do, I highly recommend you bite the bullet and buy a $100 air compressor (you'll end up using it later) because if you're putting more than 300 sq ft down, you're going to need a few days to do all the work (especially if you're rearranging furniture) and the local chains rent out the compressor and Nail gun for about $80.00 per day.

If you're using the bostich air stapler, make sure the company you rent / buy from shows you how to instasll a shim down for the 5/8 thickness of the bamboo floor. Most of the staplers are geared for 3/4 thickness - but they do have special shims so you don't splinter the floor. Also, these types of air staplers do not have a trigger like your usual air guns. You use a rubber mallet and hit the air gun on it's rubber point which shoots the staple into the toung at a 45 degree angle. If you hit to gingerly, you'll end up trying to pull a 2" staple out of the floor (and trust me - it's no fun when it happens which is why you should practice on a spare board so you get the feeling of how it works).

When you start putting the planks down, PREDRILL, into your first row and then straight nail down. If you don't predrill or don't have an actual staple gun, you could miss and dent the floor trying to hammer without predrilling (plus bamboo is hard to straight nail into).

Once you're first row is down, start using your stapler (but practice on board first).

You'll also notice, that as you start to approach or finish a wall, the angle of the staple gun makes it impossible for you to stample into the length of the board - not to fear, just start putting one staple into the length of the board and as you approach your last 2 rows, pre-drill again and then hammer them down. The weight of the floor and the single staples will be enough to keep the floor down.

All and all, it was a bit more time consuming then I originally planned, but make sure you have some friends hellp you and be sure you have a mider saw, stapler, and table saw (for long cuts).

We had contractors install for us. They had us sit the bamboo out to acclimate and also the sub-floor had a week to acclimate. They had a little trouble with the humidity and wanted it to be less humid. Good to use a dehumidifier if you have one.

This product was easier to install than I thought. I put down 500 sf in 2 rooms in a weekend and because of the computer cutting of the joints the floor stayed staight and square with no joint gaps. My only complaint was that the floor product showed up later than expected to the distributor warehouse.

My wife and I have built our small cottage on an island off the coast of Maine entirely ourselves, and the installation of the bamboo floor was a bit intimidating at first. Once we got started, however, it was a very easy installation and we installed about 500 square feet in a day and a half. It looks great, is very durable and has transformed the inside of the cottage. Out of twenty bundles we found only two boards that were unusable due to warping. No shorts, no split pieces. I was very impressed not only with the product but also with the help I received about the product and installation. I decided to lay the bamboo over concrete so I had someone lay a leveler and then a water berrier. After that was complete we started to lay the bamboo with the glue we purchased from there. I noticed that if you do not lay the whole floor that day it will start to shift. Also, there are alot of spots in the bamboo that pink coloring in them. I do not know if this is common in bamboo or not. All in all it looks good and no one will notice the pink or the few spots it gaps, but I might reconsidering duing anything I lay next time to be done all in the same day.

We installed this product in our bedroom and absolutely love it! We were first time installers of flooring and it went very smoothly! The only recommendation I would have is that we used hard wood flooring instructions instead of the bamboo instructions which were not very detailed. The bamboo flooring itself is of great quality. There was not one board that was bad in all of the boxes we ordered. I cannot comment on durability because we have not had it installed for very long but it appears that it will hold up for a long time!

The installation was about as I expected considering we never installed a wood or bamboo floor before. Once we got it all figured out it went rather smoothly. Installed at about 23sqft per hour, with 2 people. I used a cleat-nailer rented from [@].In a larger, rectangle room, an experienced do-it-yourself-er can probably install this alone.

This product was very nice to install. The only downfall is if you are into al kinds of line design, it is limited, as all board are the same length, but if you add/subtract on the end, you can get the same results, but would waste a bit. I installed at half-plank on first row, etc. etc. and it looks very, very nice - with seriously NO WASTE. I had my furniture moved in afterwards, and I find NO scratches in the surface. I also have two jack russells that haven't been able to scratch it yet! My nephew and I layed down about 700 SQ Ft. in less than 8 HOURS!

I installed this floor by myself. I got a few pointers from a friend and installed 700 sq ft. in a weekend. Then finished the ends the next weekend. It hides subfloor imperfections. It is durable, but like any other wood floor you don't want to drop a hammer on it. It will dent, but not as bad as oak. For the price you can't beat this flooring.

I recently bought my first house, and the entire house needed new flooring. I decided to install a bamboo floor in the entire house except the bathrooms and basement. It's been in for about a month, and it looks like a completely different house! It looks fantastic! The nailed installation was done by a Handyman I know, and he was finished with the entire 950 sq ft including the closets within 2 1/2 days, which was much faster than I expected. I LOVE the variation of color, as my floor has colors from really light yellow to the color the carmalized floor example shows. I didn't have all the painting completed before the floors were installed, but the paint drips can quickly and easily be removed with a damp cloth, and you can't even tell. I have been extra careful about scrapes due to reading other reviews, but so far so good. I have received nothing but compliments on my new floor, and have referred a couple of people to Lumber Liquidators for a new bamboo floor, including my handyman!

As a 50 yr old single mom I managed to put this in three bedrooms and a hall. I had no problems with cutting the wood, it did not splinter and was easy to work with. I had 25 boxes, 24 had the grooves cut the same and one box had the grooves cut the other way around which was a nuisance. It took me a weekend for each space, including pulling out the old carpet, cutting around doorposts and taking out baseboards (while doing laundry, groceries and cooking as well). I'm glad I also used the insulating underlayment under it to reduce the noise, it definitely makes a difference. Overall it was a doable job and I love the end result, definitely worth the price and the effort. The 10% extra I bought was not needed.

Installed in our closet quite easily. Used glue down with a bit of nailing to hold until dry. Live in a manufactured home, have to do glue down. Will be installing in the master bedroom within the next month.

My boyfriend, who is a contractor, installed the Bamboo flooring throughout our home. It's eco-friendly which is a huge plus. Others complained about the wood being easily scratched, but I couldn't disagree more. I have 3 large dogs (80+ lbs), I clip their nails and they have not damaged the floor. I'm sure that if you drop something heavy on it, it would scratch or dent, but that would happen to any floor (I have Maple floors, too, and this is FAR more durable).
You can't beat the price, it will get a bit darker in areas as the sun hits it (but it looks pretty) and I can't recommend it enough! Excellent buy, easy to install, durable, and it's NOT easy to burn because it's so dense.

It's easy to install and the finish looks great. I installed it in my 204 square foot bedroom with a nice area rug on top. It's a little soft, but that's expected with bamboo, so you have to be wise on where you install it. Make sure you put the felt pads on the bottom of the furniture legs, as you would with any hardwood. The Supreme Bamboo is a lot harder than the bamboo I was looking at from Home Depot and Lowes, and those two wanted $2 more a square foot. It's very easy to clean. Just pick up one of those hardwood dust mops from Walmart. They work like a charm. I've very happy with this product and would purchase it again. BTW...this is the first floor I every installed.

[...]Out of 26 boxes only 2 planks were not used due to wood warp. It was beautiful when it came out of the box. The only (major) problem was that Bostiks Best Glue, which I installed it with, created a huge hard to clean mess. If you do not clean the glue as you go it cures very quickly and becomes extremely hard to remove! I had a difficult time finding a good recommendation for an adhesive remover and the first 2 products stripped the floor of it's lovely finish. Finally, I used Bostik adhesive removing towelettes from [...]. After about 30 hours of being on my hands and knees scrubbing and scraping off glue the floor looks decent again. Next time I will have a professional install my floors!

I looked all over the internet and in the stores to find a flooring close to what we got but couldn't. The price was great and the quality was super. I hadn't installed hard wood before in a house and found it easy to do. I suggest lumber liquidators to everyone.

well having done several floors in bamboo for friends i finally decided to get my own,
the price is fantastic and at 5/8" this is real flooring.
It went down really well, glue was a bit messy as always and expensive too, but over all installation was quite easy.
Planks take cutting well with no chips or damage from the saw blade.
Over all i would have to recommend this floor, its clean , bright , east to install hard wearing and so totally eco friendly.

We really love the floor. It is bright and cheerful. The only down side is was very difficult to install. We installed it directly on concrete and it was extremely difficult to line up nicely. We ended up with a lot of gaps than we plan to fill eventually. Once we put the furniture in, most of the gaps disappeared and it looks beautiful. The finish is gorgeous and it is very easy to clean. All in all we are very happy with the floor!

i actually used the hardwood flloring for a one-off bar-top. instead of ceramic tile , i opted for something different. it was a breeze to install and it looks spectacular.

THIS IS A VERY TOUGH PRODUCT. I WAS REALLY SUPRISED WHEN USING A FINISH NAILER ON THE BOARDS CLOSE TO THE WALL, SOME OF THE NAILS DID NOT GO ALL THE WAY IN. I WAS TOLD BY OTHER SALES PEOPLE THAT THIS PRODUCT WAS GARBAGE AND I WOULD BE REPLACING IT WITHIN 1 YEAR. THIS IS IN NO WAY A GARBAGE PRODUCT. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS FLOORING TO ANYONE THAT IS LOOKING INTO BAMBOO.

This flooring is unbelievably great for the price. My husband and I had it installed throughout the entire house, excluding bathrooms, kitchen and bedrooms. The result is a gorgeous finish that can be as cozy and as contemporary as we want. We cannot exclaim how ecstatic this has made us as new homeowners. This bamboo flooring has allowed us to have the hardwood look that we wanted while being able to maintain our budget and being sustainable at the same time. We love it so much that we are continuing it down into our finished basement.

Nice product but a bit fragile. Toungues splintered easily which caused a walking on eggshell effect with some areas. Other than that, happy with the product.
I would recommend to a friend but with caution.

I used this flooring in my living room and office; it is beautiful. The only problem I ran into is that I ran out of wood and needed another box about a week later; the lot colors were drastically different, not just slightly off, so the corner of one room looks a little strange. So I highly recommend overbuying! Also, the floor has a gouge in it already so be aware that it is fairly soft.

It was installed in the kitchen area- 14 x 13 1/2 area and just lights up the whole room. The picture does not do it justice at all to show the real beauty of the wood. I will be ordering more for another room soon. This was much easier to install than regular hardwood as it came in three foot sections and weren't hard to manage. My helper is a fireman and about halfway through had to leave to go on a fire call, so I completed the flooring myself. I love it and everyone that has seen it does also. Thank you! Bamboo flooring has made my house a home, it is warm and friendly, yet it blends in with the contemporary and modern furnishings. The real kicker is that we use it in the kitchen!

The only downside thus far is that it scratches easily.

I used this product in a rehab 3 family rental unit. It looks great and was easy to install. This was easier to install than oak or cherry since all the boards were straight. No time wasted installing this product.

Being a home improvement contractor i was a bit hesitant to purchase the such a inexpensive flooring. Needless to say i could not be happier.
It looks awesome!

This floor turned out even better than we'd imagined. Our room with closet is 16 x 10 and needs a light finish to visually expand the room. We couldn't be happier with the results. We're especially happy with the register cover. It adds a custom look that greatly improves the room.There was VERY little waste. The cuts frayed a bit on occasion, but we easily used those pieces on outside edges, where they are now concealed by trim.Pieces were uniformly colored, straight and in excellent condition. We opted for this product with its 15 year warranty for our bedroom. We decided against a more costly product with a longer warranty. We'll see how it holds up.If you're doing the installation yourself, we recommend you let the rental agent know that you'll be installing bamboo instead of hardwood. The 5/8" adapter didn't work as well as we'd expected and caused a number of misfires. Luckily, we were able to salvage most of the boards. Very few split beyond use. Our only "con" was difficulty with the nail gun we rented.

I have been living with this floor for about 18 months. A hammer dropped on the floor from about eye level (installing a kitchen cabinet) and left a dent, and a screw sticking out under a heavy TV cabinet left a scratch (my fault). Other than that the floor is holding up well, including the abuse from a small dog and a terrible two year old.
