I'm currently doing a kitchen remodel and have old worn out wall surfaces. So far, I've added a bank of cabinets with bamboo countertop and backsplash to ceiling accent wall. This stuff is beautiful and just the look I wanted. I can't believe how well made this tongue and groove bamboo is!

Its a good product. Finishes off a room well. The installation extras are expensive! The paddings, anything for speciality install, Like over slab. But if you've got the money. Its the stuff to use.

I installed 700sf of this product through my hall, living room, kitchen and dining room about 16 months ago. I also installed 13 stair treads. The bamboo has compressed under my the bar stools at my kitchen island. I have lots of dimples from where chairs have sat and countless tiny scratches from a single adult living by myself. I work in the Architectural field and would NEVER recommend this product or spec this wood for even the most tame residential uses.

This is a 2 star product with a 3rd star for price. It's a young bamboo that is certainly not as durable as many clients expect when the request bamboo.

The wood splinters during installation (when cutting and when nailing). Normal foot traffic causes minor scuffs and any type of object placed on the floor -- e.g. chair, mop bucket, dropped silverware -- causes denting.

The color was a pretty bright yellow, so we returned it to get the caramelized version. Natural bamboo can have a nice amber look to it, but this was just plain yellow.

I suggest using this (actually, the caramelized version) for a cheap face-lift, but not for a lasting, sustainable remodel.

My boyfriend is handy so we thought we could redo the flooring in my entryway, hallway, kitchen, and dining room ourselves although neither of us had experience with it. The most difficult part of the installation was the subfloor prep- putting down the flooring was relatively easy. We glued it down which can be messy so we were really careful to keep the tools, the floor, and ourselves free of glue! The floor looks spectacular- we haven't had it long enough to comment on durabiliy. The only criticism of the flooring is that some boards did not have square edges so there are some small gaps. Overall, we are very pleased with the ease of installation and the finished look- we would definitely recommend the product to others.

This floor looks amazing and feels good to walk on. Came with a clear coat so no finishing. Did a project for a home I manage (2 bedrooms) Will use this product again.

Make sure your entire order comes from the same mill (lot if possible). I used the least expensive grade of the flooring and found that the finish is a bit soft. It is good for low traffic areas like a bedroom. If you are going to install in a higher traffic areas use the higher grade bamboo (thicker finish). The material is easy to work with and looked great when complete.

This flooring is wonderful. We turned a spare bedroom into a "game" room for my son. We bought the extra thick padding for sound (don't know if it helps yet). Installation was a breeze, especially for 3 older people. We floored a 12X13 room in one day. There were no warped boards or any problems with any of them. The only thing I have noticed is it is slicker than other hardwood floors, but that doesn't bother me at all. I have 2 dogs (small) that walk on it constantly and have seen no scratches on it from their nails. Bottom line: love the floor, love the look, love the ease of installation, love the price.

No problems in the install, I did a nail down application over concrete. Make sure a level concrete before installing 3/4 OSB for nail down. Spend a little extra on the 30 year floor over the 15, well worth the extra money.

I used the product in my newly redesigned family room and it look great. I followed the glue down process (vs nail down) and it went really well! I would do it again.

We put this down in the master bedroom after ripping out 30 year old carpeting. The light natural color really brightened up the space, and complimented our darker wall color well.

Easy to install if you are the least bit handy, no complaints at the moment. I'll be ordering the carbonized to do our den as well.

I installed this product in my living room/dining and three stairs and it is great. Very impressed how durable the product is. I have four dogs and no scratches (I've had it installed for 8 weeks) Cleans very easy
The only thing was the stairs. Were a lot harder to install then the sales rep made it out to be. Also I couldn't use the pre-made raisers because my stairs are longer then 4 feet. I have attached photos so you can see

This was great and really made our basement! Site finished would have looked slightly better, but this was done in a weekend without toxic smells or tons of dust-- and you could not beat the price. It does have a casual look to it due to the nature of the wood. I have not yet really lived on it to know how durable it is-- we are still finishing it up.

Replaced carpet in bedroom with bamboo and the results are stunning.
Optically brightened and increased the size of the room, especially the hallway. Had flooring professionally installed because room layout dictated a diagonal install would work best and it was the right choice. The Diagonal pattern with the vertical bamboo strips in the flooring expanded the hallway width as well as the whole room.
Gorgeous flooring, especially the natural color, not the usual carmel or dark brown you see on most floors, seems to stand up well and exceptionally clean compared to carpet.
(Please note, hallway picture inaccurately shows the floor as yellowish)

Easy to install once you get the hang of it. We nailed the floor down with a pneumatic nail gun which makes it go quickly. It does scratch easily but you can't tell unless you look closely.

Installed it ourselves and are very happy with the finished product. Flooring is very attractive and durable. Matching moldings give a great look and are a must. [...] We learned that gluing wood flooring onto concrete is a major challenge for do-it-yourselfers if your goal is a truly professional look. But we read everything we could find on the LL website, watched many Youtube videos and read much of what we found from many google searches. Expect it to take significant time, energy, and planning if you are gluing flooring without profesional experience. Much less room for trial and error than with nail down flooring. Dry fitting the entire floor is key, but very time consuming. Industrial concrete sealers and adhesives are zero fun to work with - very thick, very messy, and very sticky. Be prepared to plan everything out carefully every step of the way. It is very satisfying to have done it ourselves and we saved at least $2000, but when we were done we appreciated why professionals charge what they charge. [...]

I enjoyed working with this wood. A couple of things though - I went to my local rental store to get a floor nailer and found that the guage and type of nails they provided wouldn't go all the way into the tongue of the wood. I had to hand nail the floor with my pneumatic nailer - which was fine but not as "engaged" between boards as it would have been with a nailer. Also, be careful when you cut the boards the long way - the smell from the laquer is strong. Floor is great though.

Very pleased overall it looks great. However there were some quality control issues with the end cuts being way out of square (see photos). I did not do all of the installation, otherwise I would have cut them to clean them up. It was about a box all total that were out of square. The manager @ the purchase store said he'd look into some adjustment... haven't heard anything yet.

We installed this floor over a very uneven old (100+ years) pine and patched with plywood floor. We screwed 3/8 plywood over the old floor first and installed the bamboo over the plywood. I was worried that we would not have enough since the manager in the store added only 10% over my measurements, but I was delighted when we had a full box left over. The floor was very easy to install and there was virtually no waste. We covered the large living room, hallway and bedroom with large closet. The floor is beautiful and I love the way the grain in the bamboo looks. The color is a little light and yellow tinted compared to the wall color. I highly recommend this product.

The floors came out great! I installed over 500 square of the natural and the same in carbonized. It was so nice to be done with the installation and not have to sand and finish them

The only problem I could foresee is if you had to glue (I used a floor nailer with staples over a wood subfloor), I think it would be very hard to tighten the gaps without a floor nailer.

The most difficult part is removing the bits of glue that invariably get on the floor. The wipes work well, but are expensive and time consuming. Otherwise this is a beautiful product and so far holds up well.
