Love this flooring. It does not show water stains, does not dent and the color is beautiful. Had it installed in living room, dining room, hall, kitchen and family room. Have only had for about two weeks, but so far everything with this floor is perfect. Can't say how it was to install as I did not install, but the installation person did not complain about it.

One disappointment was when we needed a matching threshold or T-molding, it all had to be special ordered and therefore installed at a later date. The floor is a beautiful color, but having it only a week, I can already see some scratches.

This flooring looks amazing. The pictures online are accurate representations. I installed this in a small room used as an office/nursery.

I noticed very few boards that had imperfections/wood filler that was discolored. Those pieces I saved and used them for ends or ripped boards for the edges or scraps for under cutting. No boards came damaged. These boards will split easy if you're not careful as with any hardwood. This flooring is stranded making it stronger, which is probably the bigest cause for spliting easier.

Directions say to drill and nail through first row but if you do you may have to install extra thick baseboard or shoe molding to cover up those nails. I hammered larger finish nails down the chalk line to push boards against. I then used my finish nailer very carefully to tack down the rows from there. Finish nails were easily removed with a pair of nines or any other pliers.

A few times the nails didn't penetrate the wood far enough due to air pressure or my wonderful tools. Dremel cut off wheel fixed that problem. A nail set doesn't work well with very thin flexible nails. I used 2" L-nails but probably could have used 1-1/2" length.

I had professionally installed by Mighty Oak so I can't comment on ease of installation, but it is a gorgeous floor! My big dog's nails have not scratched it so that means it is definitely durable as recommended by the salesman. Only downfall is that I did not realize how dusty a dark floor gets-my fault!

I installed the floors myself with the instructions of a pro.

Tips:
Initial Line install in the greatest length. I ran a line from one bedroom right through to the next, to create a Seamless installation.

Take your time cutting. Line up wood flush with marbeling that leads to a different floor type and leave space at the opposite ends for expansion, this way you can avoid having moldings changes(not always possible).

Installed about 700 sqft of the flooring in our entry way, hall way and entire kitchen/dining area. The product is warm (vs ceramic tile) and the color is great.

I had professinal floor installers put the floor in. They said they had never seen flooring as dry as what I had. The finish would peel off of the edges when nailed together. Two guys spent over an hour with markers trying to fill in the spots where the finish chipped off.

We installed in our main living area. Wanted a product that didn't scratch because we babysit our daughters boxers often. We started out by keeping t covered when they were over but that got old. They are big dogs who run and play with each other and have not scratched the floor in any way. It was a bit hard to install just because it is such a hard wood that it made it hard to nail into. We love it and will be putting it in our dining room.
