Bamboo flooring is environmentally friendly. It looks great. It is water resistant; all the characteristics I need to make my hard-wood floors look great at home.
The floor looks great! The finish is nice and it installed pretty easily. I have found, however, that it scatches easily.

After installing this flooring in a small bedroom ourselves, we had a contractor install it in the rest of the house. It is very attractive, but does scratch/dent relatively easily (dropping items, dragging furniture). We glued it down, but had the rest nailed and would recommend the latter. The only issue we had with the install was that among the over fifty boxes (all of the same lot #) there were several that were significantly darker in color than the rest. Very happy with flooring overall.
I had these floors installed last year, December 2007 and they still look great. I would definitely recommend these floors to anyone interested in installing hardwood floors throughout their home. My colleague brought in a sample and I was sold. I went down to Lumber Liquidators on Wayside here in Houston, Texas and the sale associates were great. [...] Once installed, I was very pleased. I had my first gathering of friends in family in January and clean up was a breeze. Just like other reviewers the floors do scratch easily but not noticibly.

Excellent color consistency, nice finish.. However will dent or scratch in high use areas.Carbonizing softens the material. Would not use it in Kitchen. Instead go with the Strand Woven for the kitchen, its harder than any hardwood, its also completely sealed unlike engineered hardwood or solid planks where only the surface is sealed. Will survive an accidental soaking much better along with the occassional dropped frying pan or dish.
Easy to install. Great look. Well made and very nice finish on the bamboo. Wife loves it.
Initially we started installation by nailing....after getting halfway through the dining room we just didn't like the way it felt when you walked over it....it just didnt seem like it was staying in place....so we decided to glue it down instead....and it looks great, its easy to clean (soap and water)!
So far we have done the living room and dining room. We intend to install in all three bedrooms. The only thing I am worried about is installing it in my daughters room because she always has so many toys on the floor and it scratches easily so we may wait a couple of years.
It probably would not do good in heavy traffic areas, since it dents and scratches eaisly, which is why we will not install it in the family room

Used for entire 1st floor except bathroom. Entire 1st floor shines and looks beautiful! Excellent chice!
we installed in our dining room which looks great, make sure you go with the carbonized which adds more scratch resistance and durability , its worth the extra [$] per sq ft.

I really like the way the floor looks. It has nice color and pattern. The install was as easy as any other hardwood floor. I was expecting the floor to be harder. We put the flooring in our whole main floor. I would recommend this flooring in a less traveled area because of the softness of the wood. In the kitchen if you simply drop a spoon it will leave a dent. When the movers moved our piano the wheels left roll marks in the floor from their dolly. (which had solid compound wheels not metal) Anything that accidentally hits the floor causes you to cringe because you know it left a dent.

Really nice floor but not good for high traffic areas unless you are shoeless. Scratched easily during installation. The non-carbonized version might not show the scratches as easily.

This flooring is great and it is considered "green". We plan on putting it in all rooms except kitchen and baths. We already have it in our living room and there is a grand piano sitting on it and there are no indentations.
Installs very easily, looks great, great price, but this floors dents VERY easily. Just moving the refridgerator into place after installation put huge gouges into the floor and I even put a thick felt blanket under the wheels to prevent scratching/denting. Every little thing that drops on the floor will dent it. Just get a sample and drop a few things on the sample wood and see how easily it dents. It is a great floor for the price point though. Cheaper than carpet and it looks great. I just wish it was harder.

The hardwood floor was the easiest thing to do. This is my second time installing. My first time was using a air nailer, and this time glue. Either way it was a snap and fun to put down. However having the right tools can make the project go smoother, and more enjoyable.
So far so good. Two small dogs. Only a few small scratches. Great staff at Bolingbrook, IL store. They really tried but could not get me a stair nose to match my boards. Stair nose color too light. So I made my own (glued oak trim to board).
Images shared by: SamCompared to installing laminate this was a piece of cake. Took me slightly over 3 days to install in a master bedroom and walk in closet by myself. Looks great with our dark colonial furniture. Waiting to see how hard and durable it is. Will be continuing this into our upstairs hallway next.

I really like the uniqueness that the carbonized bamboo brings to the room. However, I discovered that something as minor as a TV remote falling from the sofa will put a dent into the surface. Wish I'd gone with the Brazilian cherry, but all in all I like the floor.

We have owned this floor for two years now, installing it ourself a glue-down application in our young son's bedroom. It looks beautiful out of the box and upon inital installation. Despite claims, we found the bamboo flooring to be not nearly as hard or dense as a hardwood. As a result, it is very easy to compress/dent it, and it scratches easily. We do like the overall appearance of the floor, but are disappointed in the durability. I would not recommend this flooring for a high-use room, but rather for a low-traffic "show" room.

This product exceeded my expectations. I will install it in all the living/dining/bed rooms.
It is beautiful.

The Bamboo is very unique. The wood appears lighter when in natural light and changes to a richer darker color as night falls. We purposedly waited till a batch of dark caramel arrived from the mill & are very happy with our choice . The floor does not clash with our honey oak kitchen cabinets and it complements our dark brown dining room chairs & butterscotch table top. We offset the dining area by installing the Van Gogh cork in the kitchen area which blends nicely with the versatile bamboo. If you are local and not a self doer I recommend Chris Douglas'crew. Thanks all :)
