It is durable, acoustical, and a great insulator. The bark of the cork tree is peeled without destroying the tree and it grows back within nine years, ready to be harvested again. Warm to the touch and resilient, cork floors are a joy to live with. It is considered a green product because the same tree can be harvested numerous times.

I'm so happy with this flooring........looks great and was easy to install. Applying more floor finish makes the lines where the pieces connect almost disappear. Wonderful to walk on.
Beware though, as the flooring is much darker than the picture on the website.

We have this cork in our master bedroom and bathroom and we have gotten so many compliments that we're putting it in our 2nd bedroom and office. It's nice to not have your feet freeze when you get out of bed. The only con is that you have to be careful when sealing it so you don't see brush marks - we weren't so careful. Also, if you have to force it together in spots it can leave a rough edge. Nothing too noticeable though.

Due to initial measurement errors and occasional imperfections in the product we needed to buy additional flooring. Since the closest store is 4 hrs. away we decided to get a couple of extra boxes this time just in case. The downside was not being able to return it so now we have 2 full unopened boxes and no where to use it. We have a friend from Eugene who was willing to return it for us since we didn't have a trip planned, but when we called we were informed that it wasn't possible for her to do that since we had paid with credit card. Our next trip north is next week, but it's too late. Oh well - I guess we'll try[@]

It didn't exactly click lock, required a fair amount of coaxing to lock together well. But still very do-able and much easier than anything else I considered.

We used this cork application in one of our upscale beach apartment units. It looks fabulous, with a beautiful rich leathery look. We recommend putting 3 to 4 protective water base coats on. Its ideal for upstairs units. Very quiet!!!!

Miro Cork in Our Kitchen is Great!
By Roy and BarbVerified Reviewer from Yerington, NV on 4/3/2008
Pros:
Attractive Finish, Easy To Clean, Easy To Install
Cons:
None
Best Uses:
Dining Room, Family Room, Kitchen, Living Room
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Miro cork flooring was easy to install and is pre-finished. We used this cork to replace a water-warped cork flooring we installed one year ago. We had to urethane finish that cork and didn't have to with yours. We did, however, put on one more water-based urethane finish over the entire floor when we were finished. We really like the looks of it, although the dark color is just something you have to get used to for cleaning footprints. The price per square foot is also attractive.

Rich color

Attractive Finish
Cons:
Difficult To Install
Best Uses:

It has a rich color and I like the design of the cork pattern when it's all put together. This was my first click floor and it did not "click." It required a crowbar and some force to coak it seamlessly together. I did a kitchen over a weekend. It's not a formal floor, but a fun floor.

Cork Flooring--not a bad way to go
By chris from philly on 3/6/2007
Pros:
Attractive Finish, Durable, Easy To Install, Good on cement slab
Cons:
Not for heavy duty areas
Best Uses:
Bedroom, Family Room, Living Room, Office
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

not a bad product at all. when i first got it, i thought it looked a little dull. after installing and applying the polyurethane, it looks pretty good. its good on a slab, acts as an insulator, better than ceramic tile which gets too cold. installation is easy, its a little hard to get started. The pieces will always move around until the floor gets big enough that it wont slide anymore.
